...Copper vs. Fiber They are two major types of cables used in networking, copper and fiber. Each cable are used in different application regarding to its usage. They also have different strengths cause of the material they are made of. Copper is the most common out of the two cables. Not as powerful as Fiber, but are ideal for buildings up to 100m. Fiber is mostly used for longer distances that copper can’t reach. For example, Fiber is ideal for high-rise buildings. Both cables do have their weakness. Copper can contract electrical current cause’s disruption between two devices and loses its signal over 100m in length. Fiber has a glass core. Bending the fiber to much will break the glass and renders the fiber useless. I good example for using each cable in a real world situation would be a high-rise building. Take the empire state building, you couldn’t possibly use copper wires to connect to each switch from each floor to the main hub. The signal will fade on the higher levels of the building. These five elements are expressed in the buildings materials, the architect’s use of lines and repetition, how the building balances astatically, and the tower’s scale. Material This tower is constructed on top of a 24 foot thick concrete base. The tower is erected by a steel skeleton and is faced with “blond brick and creamy terra-cotta”. This healthy base and firm skeleton contribute to the firmness of this building. The four faces of the tower have Seth Thomas clocks, all with arms measuring six feet long. There is, finally, a 2.5 ton bell in the top two stories of the tower. Line As with any tower, the majority of the lines draw the audience’s eyes up from the bottom to the top. The majority of the tower’s lines are vertical, with a subtle horizontal contrast from the lines of windows on the faces. Just below the clock, the architect constructed a prominate horizontal line. ...I have two little girls. I am a very paranoid and overprotective parent. I try my best to keep my eye on my children at all times. One day I was in a hurry walking down the few steps to my apartment to grab my car keys so that I could go somewhere and my oldest daughter was following behind me and when I turned around to tell her to grab her coat she was not there anymore. I looked outside and she wasn’t there. I checked next door because my mother lives there and she still wasn’t there. I looked in front of the apartment complex (there is only one building and it’s small) she wasn’t there. I panicked and checked every apartment and then I decided to look out back and she was playing with rocks. In the short amount of time that I didn’t have my eyes on her she went through my mother’s apartment and out the back door. The moral that I learned from that experience is to always no matter what the situation have my eyes on my children. I just knew that I would be calling the cops and forming search parties to find her. I thanked God that nothing bad happened to her but I also explained to her that she could have been snatched up and that I was scared that something bad might have happened to her even though I know everyone who lives here.
