...right? But a terrorist is indeed a human. A terrorist could be a man, woman or even a child. A living, breathing person with views that may be quite different than that of our own views. A person who may not see what we view as a terrorist act, but as a belief that may have been taught from birth. One of these terrorists you will be learning about is Ayaan Hirsi Ali, “Somali-Dutch feminist and atheist activist, writer and politician who is known for her views critical of Islam. She wrote the screenplay for Theo van Gogh's movie Submission, for which she criticized the treatment of women in the Islamic society and “Juxtaposed with passages from the Qur'an were scenes of actresses portraying Muslim women suffering abuse.” (Voices on Antisemtisim). After which she and the director both received death threats, and the director was murdered by an Islamic extremist. The daughter of the Somali politician and opposition leader Hirsi Magan Isse, she is a founder of the women's rights organization the AHA Foundation.”(theahafoundation.org). Ayaan Hirsi Ali is not a terrorist of The United States of America, but of her own country. Ayaan Hirsi Ali was born in Mogadishu, Somalia on November 13, 1969. However, both in academia and in popular media the critique on multiculturalism has grown and is often accompanied with arguments related to gender equality and/or feminism. According to political scientist Susan Moller Okin for example there are fundamental conflicts between our commitment to gender equality and the desire to respect the customs of minority cultures or religions. If we agree that women...

...understood the importance of innovation and creativity and standing out as an individual, group or as a team meant. Similarly, each brand is different and needs to stand-out being unique and innovative in approach and strategy. Here is where the Blue Ocean Strategy (BOS) sets in. Let’s just start this discussion by understanding what Blue Ocean Strategy really is? Blue ocean strategy is 1. Make uncontested market space 2. The aim of BOS is not to out-perform the competition in the existing industry, but to create new market space or a blue ocean, thereby making the competition irrelevant. 3. Create and capture new demand 4. The simultaneous pursuit of differentiation and low cost When I saw the Sunsilk Lively Clean and Fresh campaign with Ayaan Ali wearing a scarf (sure it was eye candy), the ad proclaiming “Hijaab se Dhakay Baloun k Liay” it occurred to me that Sunsilk’s Marketing was entering a new dimension. This was a classic case of Blue ocean strategy; they were reaching beyond existing demand by positioning this brand extension towards all young girls and women who cover their hair as part of religion, but are modern and fashionable, contemporary yet elegant at the same time, who wear a scarf socially and at work or education centers. This was marketed as an outright solution to the problem of hair damage and dandruff. By entering into this position, Sunsilk, rather than just fighting for a higher share in the hair care category, it increases the size of the pie, there...

...The MermaidbyAuthor Unknown 'Twas Friday morn when we set sail, And we had not got far from land, When the Captain, he spied a lovely mermaid, With a comb and a glass in her hand.Chorus Oh the ocean waves may roll, And the stormy winds may blow, While we poor sailors go skipping aloft And the land lubbers lay down below, below, below And the land lubbers lay down below. Then up spoke the Captain of our gallant ship, And a jolly old Captain was he; "I have a wife in Salem town, But tonight a widow she will be."ChorusThen up spoke the Cook of our gallant ship, And a greasy old Cook was he; "I care more for my kettles and my pots, Than I do for the roaring of the sea." ChorusThen up spoke the Cabin-boy of our gallant ship, And a dirty little brat was he; "I have friends in Boston town That don't care a ha' penny for me."ChorusThen three times 'round went our gallant ship, And three times 'round went she, And the third time that she went 'round She sank to the bottom of the sea.Chorus Be with me This is a ballad for the good timesSo put a battery in your legPut a rock beat over anythingGet it stuck there in your headYou can be with meI got nothing to rely onI've broken every boneEverybody's stop believingBut you know you're not aloneYou can be with meThis is a ballad for the good timesAnd all the dignity we hadDon't get het up on the evil thingsYou ain't coming backYou can be with meIf you want to beYou can be with me.... ...we'd started our trip just a few days before no longer impressed us much. The search for the shocking is like the craving for a drug: you require heavier and more frequent doses the longer you're at it. Pictures that stun the editors one day are written off as the same old stuff the next. This sounds callous, but it is just a fact of life. It's how we collect and compile the images that so move people in the comfort of their sitting rooms back home. There was Amina Abdirahman, who had gone out that morning in search of wild, edible roots, leaving her two young girls lying on the dirt floor of their hut. They had been sick for days, and were reaching the final, enervating stages of terminal hunger. Habiba was ten years old and her sister, Ayaan, was nine. By the time Amina returned, she had only one daughter. Habiba had died. No rage, no whimpering, just a passing away — that simple, frictionless, motionless...

...proceeded to shoot him in the head, neck and chest. (Rembrandt, E. (2014, September 19)) The man who murdered him was Volkert van der Graaf. He confessed in court that he did it to protect the Muslims. He wanted to stop Fortuyn from gaining political power by targeting a societal minority. Van der Graaf was eventually sentenced to eighteen years in prison. (Evans-Pritchard, A., & Clements, J. (2003)) A similar crime happened 911 days after Fortuyn's murder. Theo van Gogh, a Dutch filmmaker, was killed by a Dutch Moroccan called Mohammed Bouyeri on November 2, 2004. He shot Van Gogh eight times, slit his throat and stabbed a dagger with a note into his chest. The letter was not directed at Van Gogh, but at one of his filmmaking partners named Ayaan Hirsi Ali. Together with Hirsi Ali, Van Gogh had made a fiction film called “Submission” about the abuse of Muslim women. It was a very graphic movie, which Van Gogh said in an interview was “intended to provoke discussion on the position of enslaved Muslim women. It’s directed at the fanatics, the fundamentalists.” In the letter Bouyeri threatened Hirsi Ali. Bouyeri was arrested by the police after a gunfight in a park near the crime scene. He was sentenced to life in prison. (Rovers, R. (2004)) Van Gogh and Fortuyn actually knew each other and shared the same detest of the Netherlands' liberal views on immigration. They were both punished in the cruelest manner for speaking freely. A more recent conflict between freedom of speech and...
