The beothuk people were a first nation group from newfoundland. They came in contact with europeans around the 15th century, and now the beothuk people are an extinct people.

Some people, like in source one, believe that there extinction was not the europeans fault, and they died due to lack in numbers and deseasus accidentally brought over by europeans.

But others, like in source two, believe that it was completely the europeans fault. They say that the europeans were brutal and gave no regards to the beothuk peoples health and well being, and they would kill them.
