A. One thing I was unclear on is why is there a need for feminist interpretation? This chapter seems to do the opposite of the bible. It encourages disunity through gender.

A. The hermeneutical circle refers to interpreting the bible from the author’s perspective. Or interpreting the bible as a whole instead of in many parts. I think.

5) What is genre, and why is it important for biblical interpretation (give examples)?

A. Genre is the identity of particular passage of book of the bible, from a literary perspective. Example… The book on Law can be found in Exodus.

6) Are the parables of Jesus allegories? Are most prophecies in the Bible future-telling? (Give a one sentence answer for each, explaining why or why not).

A. 1). The parables of Jesus are used as demonstrations or illustrations in order to give the reader a better understanding, thereby making his parables allegories.
2). Prophecies should focus on providing an opportunity for change before judgement, whereas future telling is predicting the future based on questions
