Team Ground Rules and Guidelines
What are the general expectations for all members of the team?

The team members should work together, and every individual should be able to do their own part of the assignment. If a team member has problems with another individual he or she should be willing to talk it in a civil manner. Every team member should communicate throughout the week as necessary. Every team member must communicate clearly and respectfully with each other. All team members must participate and be willing to ask for help when needed and help other team members when possible complete assignments to the best of their ability and submit them timely. Also guidelines on what is expected from each team member’s portion of the assignment should be presented to the team with enough time in advance. The team should be able to work together so that the team can create the best answer and have a better understanding. All team members should be prepared for the assignment, and ready to work. The biggest value of the team members is their ability to honestly communicate with one another. Knowing what your teammates need, or require sets the standard for how the team will work together. Every team member should do their portion of the work so that the team can be successful.

Expectations for Time Management and Involvement

Individuals should make time to complete their portion of the team assignment. While an individual is working on his or her portion of the team assignment, he or she should fulfill the requirements of the course syllabus. Time management is very important and if any member of the team has a problem, he or she should be willing to inform the team if he or she cannot complete his or her part on time. As a team we would discuss the topic post information so that all the answers can be compiled into one response for the team. All team members are expected to participate in every assignment in order to get credit for it. If disagreements occur the team should acknowledge the issues out respectfully. If the team cannot respectfully acknowledge the issue, the team will contact the instructor for guidance. Everyone should contribute in all assignments and turn in assignments timely in order to give the team time to review and make changes if needed before submitting the final assignment. Each team member should provide other members with more than one form of contact and availability times. The team should be considerate of other team members and their time. When working on a team our desires should take a backseat. We need to value one another and take responsibility for our commitments to the team. Every member’s grade and performance is weighed together and it is important for each member to hold up their end. As a team, we expect all members to be available to communicate with one another and to turn in their portions of their assignments on time.

Ensuring Fair and Even Contribution and Collaboration
What strategy will you use to ensure that all team members are contributing and collaborating appropriately? Describe the communication strategy you will use if a team member is not contributing and collaborating effectively. How will the team manage conflicts between team members?

Team members should communicate throughout the week to ensure each individual submits their portion of the assignment on time. Team members should also communicate through email, school website, and last resort give out cell phones numbers. If an individual isn’t responding I would first try the school website, and if that didn’t work I would try to contact their personal email. When team members have problems with one another he or she should talk to one another, and if that doesn’t work talk to the teacher for help. All the individuals are adults, and we should be able to come to an understanding.
All team members shall provide a response to the topic by giving their opinion and saying how they agree or disagree with the other team members and understand that it may be difficult because everyone has a different schedule. In the beginning of the week team members should check in and agree on who will be submitting the week’s assignment. Then that team member will let his team know how he or she would like our portion to be formatted and by when. The entire team should agree with that information and ask questions as they occur. Communication should be open and if any team member is not collaborating we should contact team member to see what is going on and if they need help with completing the assignment in order for them to get credit and for the team to complete the assignment timely. If any conflicts arise we should talk them out respectfully. The most effective way to deal with collaboration is to establish who will do what from the very beginning. When we begin as a team most members are excited and anxious to begin, and this is the ideal time to establish the workloads and timetables. The team is responsible for communicating with the team member that is lagging behind. Gentle encouragement and continuous dialog are important. When the team does well together, it can also fail together. No one wants the weight of failure on their shoulders and the team needs to learn to compromise during conflicts. We should begin communicating in the very beginning of the week. Each team member should know what exactly they have to do on their end to help with the team assignment. If a member is not contributing, then we will have to reach out to them and figure out with the problem is. Communication will be the key throughout the whole process.

Special Considerations

What do you, as a team, agree will make this team experience different from past team experiences?

The team should be willing to communicate and meet the requirements of the course syllabus. Members of the team should be willing to read the posts each team member makes to make sure that they understand what is going on. Touching base with team members in the beginning of the week’s assignment to talk about what the assignment will be and what is expected. Alternating roles weekly and having alternate ways to contact each team member. Also knowing that every team member thinks and learns differently is helpful as we will embrace and respect the differences and learn from each other. Communication and respect are key factors in a successful team. At the beginning of the week we should lay out every team member’s responsibilities so that there is no misunderstanding about the assignment. We should also have a check in date in the middle of the week. By doing this we can know where everyone stands at that moment so that we need to know what needs to be done with the time left.

It still uses a small battery incase there is a power outage and still uses volatile RAM. The size of the CMOS memory has also pretty much stayed the same because there is no need to increase the size. There was never any need to store more than 512 bytes in the memory as it holds the absolute basic boot settings for the system. The typical size is still 512 bytes currently.
