In the year 2020 I believe phone calls will be made using implanted microchips and holograms. Everyone will have a microchip implanted somewhere in their bodies which emits a signal through your nerves and brain waves that also show a hologram of the person you are talking to. There would no longer be a need to keep up with your cellular device or the chance of it being stolen. It would also cut down on the cost to make a cell phone with all the gadgets and gizmos and just create a smaller chip.
In the year 2050 I think whole meals will be condensed into a pill or powdered form eliminating stoves, ovens, refrigerators, and microwaves lessening the amount of time it takes for consumption so that even if you’re a busy family it would only take a matter of seconds for your family to come together and consume a whole meal.
In 2025 homework will be done with a simple thought linking your brainwaves to the assignment. Your thoughts would be noted into the schools or classes you’ve given your permission to databases giving accurate and direct concepts. Before you enter your thoughts you can set up your format the way you want in essay form or simple 1,2,3 answer form with double spacing, indents etc.
In 2125 there will be no need to leave your home because the teacher and classroom will be like a dream sequence. You could be sleep or at home bored there will be a device that connects certain nerves and brainwaves linking your classmates, teacher and yourself so that info and homework can be exchanged with simple

Boys Don't Cry

...transgender it doesn’t make them any less of a human being. After discussing the movie with some of my classmates, I realized we had different feelings towards the movie. There were some things that didn’t quite make sense to them, but made perfect sense to me. For example, one of my classmates could not understand why Brandon continued to lie and deceive everyone. She thought if Brandon would have been honest from the beginning then he might still be alive. However, I disagree because I feel that Brandon wasn’t being dishonest to trick people or hurt others; I feel that he really thought of himself as a boy, so to him it wasn’t lying. Brandon was just trying to start over fresh in a new place and didn’t want to bring his past with him. I believe Brandon waited so long to come out because he knew he would not be accepted by his family. The movie showed how unsupportive his cousin was about his decision to become a boy. I truly believe that Brandon moved to another town to have a fresh start at life; there he had a greater chance of being accepted the way he was. Even after Brandon’s death his family still showed how unsupportive of him they were by putting, “Teena Brandon, loving daughter and friend” on his headstone. As a mother, I can see where that would be a hard decision to make. The child you gave birth to and raised all those years was not the same person you had laid to rest. However, it is my feeling when you have children, you should love and support them no matter who they...

The Crow: Film Analysis

...Analysis by: Pravin Deva Film: The Crow (1994) Director: Alex Proyas The Crow Analysis The film, The Crow, is a magnificent film that portrays an unhappy spirit who is on a vendetta to find and kill the criminals responsible for his and his fiancée, Shelly played by Sofia Shinas, death of Hollows Eve. The film takes place in city that is at a dismal state and one that is vulnerable to heinous crimes, such as the murder of Eric and Shelly. Murder is a big part of the film and is something that the director, Alex Proyas, wants to portray throughout the movie. I believe that Proyas wanted to show murder is a big issue in our society and that no one is safe, even people who are loving and harmless as Eric and Shelly were. When Eric says “Victims aren’t we all” right before he stabs Tin-Tin, explains how no one is safe from murder, whether you the good guy or the bad guy, it is almost a given. This film was filled with many symbols but the one that stood out the most was the crow. I believe that the crow symbolizes life’s mysteries; such as something which we cannot simply explain happens, we may just say that it was part of God’s plan or it was simply a twist of faith. Whatever the case may be, the crow was the reason Eric was resurrected and given a chance to get back those who ended his and Shelly’s lives. Not only does the crow show destiny but it also portrays life. For example when Eric was resurrected, he was virtually indestructible and nothing could...

...some point but grew out of or deeper insights such as self-discovery and learning what we stand for in life and tough situations. The complexity of this experience may vary for different people and is often a harder concept to fully grasp for ourselves but leads to shaping who we are and what differentiates us as human beings. To demonstrate, sexual orientation and gender identification has been a complicated journey for some to overcome. In the movie, Boys Don’t Cry, Brandon Teena struggles with these notions since he is biologically a female but would rather identify as a male. Teena undergoes a self makeover and ultimately changes her name into Brandon Teena from Teena Brandon. Although there are a variety of factors that attribute to his decision, including living in a small town with virtually nothing to do and no room for growth as well as having a carefree attitude full of law breaking and making poor choices, he ultimately just identifies as a male and is interested in women. In the film Brandon meets a woman, Lana, he begins to feel attracted to and who he deceives until one day he is discovered after he has been arrested and is put into the women’s jail raising many questions. Eventually he is discovered and is then raped and killed with no remorse by two male characters that envied Teena for his relationship with Lana. In psychology the development of gender is often looked at as a controversial topic mainly because of its complexity. It is evident in Teenas...

The Usa Patriot Act--Good or Evil?

...THE USA PATRIOT ACT--GOOD OR EVIL? Abstract Terrorism has been around in one form or another since long before September 11th 2001. It is our extreme reaction to the real threat of a terrorist attack began 9/11/2001. Although the odds of dying from a terrorist attack in America are extremely remote, after the attacks of 9/11/2001 and the overwhelming show of concern by American citizens, Congress hastily put together a bill outlining the workings of the U.S. Patriot Act. The United States Patriot Act of 2001 was signed into law by President George W. Bush in 2001. President Barack Obama signed the Patriot Sunsets Extension Act of 2011, which created a 4 year extension of 3 key parts of the Patriot Act. Warrantless searches of business records, roving wiretaps, & conducting surveillance of individuals suspected of terrorist-related activities not linked to any specific organized terrorist groups. The Patriot Act dramatically reduced restrictions on law enforcement agencies' ability to search all records, documents, histories, etc., without the restraints of the normal operations of judicial law which most citizens assume will always protect them. The National and State Governments and their agencies work together to implement the Patriot Act with as minimal an “obvious” intrusion as possible into ours, the American citizens lives. Porter - Positioning 6 Principles

...IN AN article entitled “Strategy and the Internet” published in the March 2001 edition of the Harvard Business Review, Michael Porter outlined six principles that he believes companies need to follow if they want to establish and maintain a distinctive strategic position in the market place. Since the internet is a business platform with low barriers to entry, these six strategic principles are particularly relevant to any company that wants to be profitable online: 1. Stand for something In order for a company to develop unique skills, build the right assets, and establish a strong reputation it is important to define what the company stands for so that the company will have continuity of direction. 2. Focus on profitability This point seems obvious, however many internet based companies have instead focused on “unique visitors” and “page views” as measures of performance. At the end of the day, sustainable profits will only be possible where goods or services can be provided at a price which exceeds the cost of production. 3. Offer consumers a unique set of benefits Good strategy involves being able to provide a distinct set of benefits to a particular group of consumers. Trying to please every consumer will not give a company a sustainable competitive advantage. 4. Perform core activities differently If a company is able to establish a distinctive value chain by performing key activities differently from its competitors, then this will help...

...Rogers’ Chocolates Formulation and Implementation in Single Business Firms 1. Strategic issue or problem statement With the mission of committing towards the production and marketing of fine products that reflect/maintain excellence and quality, Roger’s chocolate company has an opportunity to attain this in the premium chocolate market which has been growing annually at a rate of 20%. The success determinant of the premium market is quality and brand market, prerequisites (excellence, quality and brand) which Roger’s has the ability to meet this criterion. 2. Explanation of the Strategic issue or problem statement Identification of opportunities has been considered by various scholars, Shane & Venkatraman (2000), Gaglio & Katz (2001) and Ardichvili, Cardozo & Ray (2003) as a fundamental component in business formulation and implementation strategy. In addition, opportunity is identified in form of unsolved problems, creation of opportunities via ingenuity and creativity, inefficient processes or unmet needs. In Rodgers’ Chocolates case, opportunity exists in form of unmet needs. As indicated, even though premium chocolates are more like the imported roses in the sense that they are not considered as life’s necessities, more people still want them. Such is the case of Canada,( the major Rogers market share) where more people appreciate chocolates hence increasing the premium chocolate market share by 20% each year with a market size amounting to millions (US$ 167) in year 2006...

Business Strategy

...Essay: Value chain analysis Value chain analysis (VCA) refers to the process whereby a firm determines the costs associated with organizational activities from purchasing raw material to manufacturing products to marketing those products. Further, according to Porter he stated that “a firm’s value chain and the way it performs individual activities are a reflection of its history, its strategy, its approach to implementing its strategy, and the underlying economics of the activities themselves.” There are two major types’ activities of a company’s value chain describe by Porter: primary activities and support activities. Primary activities are the transforming of inputs into outputs further to delivery and after-sales support. On the other hand, support activities support primary activities and other supporting activities that are undertaken to aid individuals and groups of these activities. The importance of using the VCA in strategic decision-making is to analyze, coordinate and optimize linkages between activities in the value chain, by focusing on the interdependence between these activities. VCA is a mechanism which facilitates the optimization and coordination of interdependent activities in the value chain, which may cross organizational boundaries and accounting information is an important constituent of value chain analysis. The main idea of the analysis is to break up the chain of activities which avoid basic raw materials to end-use customers into strategically...

Strategic Planning

...IT STRATEGIC PLANNING “You’ve got to be very careful if you don’t know where you are going, because you might not get there.” Yogi Berra BACKGROUND Henry Mintzberg, former president of the Strategic Management Society, points out that “strategy can not be planned because planning is about analysis and strategy is about synthesis.” 1 Failure to recognize this basic distinction accounts for the frequent failure of such exercises, as does an excessive focus on technical detail, lack of suitable leadership, and perhaps most important, failure to align technology to institutional mission and priorities. Strategic planning involves a structure or framework, a set of procedures (both formal and informal), and of course content. Beyond these basic elements, the underlying assumptions about strategic planning are that the future can be anticipated, forecasted, managed or even controlled, and that the best way to do so is to have a formal and integrated plan about it in place. The process of planning itself may turn out to be more important than the results, and that process requires, as Mintzberg suggests, both analysis and synthesis. Planning simply introduces a formal “discipline” for conducting long-term thinking about an institution, and for recognizing opportunities in and for minimizing risks from the external and internal environments. Among the hundreds available, perhaps the most well-know model of strategic planning has the SWOT (for strengths, weaknesses, opportunities...
