For our written assignment 1 - I chose one in which I’m familiar with, Buffalo Wild Wings (BWW). BWW is a family restaurant and bar that caters to all walks of life. You have the family of 4 that likes a Friday night out or you and a couple of your buddies meet on Sunday for some drinks and watch the game. BWW is the type of business that works at providing the ultimate social experience for people and their families or friends and co-workers. One main part of their strategic mission is to provide a sports theme atmosphere to the public and when you walk into a BWW the first thing you see is all the TVs and you can watch about any type of sporting activity at any time of the day.
At BWW I see a business that has done a lot of research into marketing their goods and services to the public. One item being is their advertising strategy for marketing to all sports for high school, college and professional teams on National TV. This alone draws people into their restaurants and it is not just to watch the game but to offer them good food also. Offering new menu items throughout the year is something that I believe restaurants have to do to keep their competitive edge on their competition who are also changing. Operations must always be asking questions whether it is in a questionnaire or face to face with customers rather than trying to guess what should they do next to improve customer’s satisfaction? How many times the question has come up for my family on where should we go to eat tonight? Companies like BWW need to market to get the returning clients back into their restaurants. This shows the Operations Department is doing their job. If BWW offers good customer service, good food and it is affordable, their customers will keep coming back and will tell a friend, a neighbor and family members. The best advertisement is by word of mouth.

Buffalo Wild Wings Observation

...mind is Buffalo Wild Wings. Known for their delicious chicken wings and an excellent sports viewing experience. The Buffalo Wild Wings located on Twin Lakes Avenue in Marysville is my go to place when I want to hang out with my friends. I have been coming here since it first opened in Marysville in June 2013. In fact, I waited in line for multiple hours to be one of the first 100 customers to dine inside the restaurant. As one of the waitresses awarded me my “free wings for a year” coupon book I entered the building. The first thing you notice when you walk in the door are the large amount of TVs that line the walls of the restaurant. During big sporting events, the audio from the TV can be heard, unfortunately on a normal day they will just have background music playing. The wait time to get seated has always been under 10 minutes for me; however if you come during a Seahawks game it is almost impossible to get a table. After you are escorted to your table by the host, you will be greeted by your table captain. The table captain is unique to Buffalo Wild Wings. The captain is in charge of making sure all of your needs are met such as the games you want to watch....

Buffalo Wild Wings offers a sports bar setting for sports fan while also appealing to families with their dining tables. The financial situation of the company appears to be stable but there are also things that Buffalo Wild Wings can improve upon to become a more successful business. ...February 24, 2012 Entrepreneurship: Jim Disbrow and Scott Lowery founded Buffalo Wild Wing Grill and Bar in Ohio in 1982 by. Disbrow was originally a native of Kentucky but moved to Cincinnati, Ohio to live with his figure skating coaches David and Rita Lowery. There he developed a sibling relationship with the Lowery’s son Scott. Disbrow remained in Cincinnati training until 1974 when he moved to Buffalo, New York. While at Buffalo Disbrow experienced his first “spicy local version of barbecued chicken wings” at a place called Anchor Bar. Disbrow returned to Ohio in 1981 where he reunited with Lowery while judging a figure skating competition. During this visit they both developed a crazing for “buffalo-style chicken wings” but were not able to locate a place in town that served them. After their failed attempt to satisfy their crazing the two decided to open their own restaurant that sold buffalo style chicken wings. Without any previous experience the two made plans to open their restaurant. The first location that they chose was in Columbus, Ohio, which was the center point of Ohio State University. Picking that location was a very good idea because it provided them with a large market of college students who wanted a nice meal for a moderate price. The first restaurant was called Buffalo Wild Wings and Weck, which was a type of bread that they used to serves their burgers on. Shorty after starting they added on a third partner Mark Lutz. ...phrase "Food, Fun, Beverages and your favorite sports" for the sports families and college students. But for the older group of sports fanatics and people who are looking for a cold one with the boys or with the gals, tagging on the phrase "Wings, Beer, and your favorite sports". We will use these different phrases with the places that we are going to advertise to these specific targets, which we will get to next. The first type of media we are going to use is event sponsorship to reach to sports fanatics and older men and women. Year around there are bowling leagues and softball leagues and soccer leagues that need to have team sponsors in order to pay for their equipment. This would be a perfect way to get our logo on a jersey and to promote coming to hang out after the game. I know that if I was sponsored by Buffalo Wild Wings that me and the boys would head to our sponsors place after the game. My personal favorite that we are going to do is our support media outdoor signage on route 24 targeting the flowing traffic coming from Fort Wayne, IN and Toledo, OH. There are going to be ten signs involved, five coming from either direction. One sign will be placed at the 69-24 loop and the other placed at the 75-24 loop just stating the Buffalo...

Spitfire Bar And Grill Advertising Campaign Analysis

...We chose to work with Spitfire Bar & Grill because we enjoy eating their food and it is a local restaurant. Being a local restaurant makes it a lot easier for people around the Fargo-Moorhead area to find. Spitfire makes award winning smoked food. Having this award winning food makes it exceptionally great that it is in a classy building. It was first opened in 2007 by Tim Olson which is located at 1660 13th Avenue East, West Fargo, ND. We decided to do an advertising campaign for Spitfire Bar & Grill. This advertising campaign consists of increasing last year’s sales by 5%, keeping tallies of how many people come from bison games, and finally increasing catering venues 5% from last year. In order to do this, we decided to use digital media, print media, and transit media. For our digital media, we chose to put ads on Twitter and Facebook. As for print media we decided to use flyers. Not only those, but we also used billboards for our transit media. Having these three different types of advertising medias allows us to reach all kinds of people. These advertisements will be out for eight weeks, which allows people to view these advertisements at different times essentially from any place there are. The benefits for using our advertising campaign are having sales increase by 5%, more catering venues, and also more people coming from sporting events. This in the long run will improve the consumer market of Spitfire. Once the consumer market goes up, this means the sales will rise...

Rampell Paraphrase Essay

...My name is Corey Danvers, 18 years old, and a freshman at Lindenwood University. I’m from Ft Lauderdale Florida, I’ve lived there my whole life. My parents are from Kingston and Rock River Jamaica. As a child I always had a big head and a skinny body, but I always participated in various sports such as soccer, flag football, and baseball. I was never athletic so it was hard for me to flourish in soccer. It took me 3 years to score 1 goal for the team I played for but I was a pretty good defender when it came down to it. As a child I always liked watching TV, my favorite cartoon was and still is Tom and Jerry. Even though none of the characters spoke a single word I found very funny. I would sit in front of the TV for hours with my legs folded and my mom would get mad that I was sitting so close to the TV. Eventually all that close TV watching caught up to me because now my eyes are messed up to the point where I can’t see anything from far away. In middle school, I got a little taller but I looked like a stick figure with long limbs. As I grew physically my athletic ability turned for the good. When I played flag football, I became one of the top players in that organization. I had my own little fan club from opposing teams. Their parents would yell out “watch out for number 38” and it always me made smile. It made me feel like I was doing this sport as a job, like Dwayne wade when he plays the Chicago Bulls. 12 pounds later, my dad finally thought it...
