WIRETIME placed an ad that had false statement stating BUGUSA used low quality devices and were unreliable for over a month.

WIRETIME committed Trade Libel. A tort used to sue where a competitor has made a false statement that disparaged a competing product.

WIRETIME lured BUGUSA employee Janet by offering her a 10% pay raise and $5,000.00 to break her two year contract with BUGUSA therefore committing a Business Competition Tort.

WIRETIME committed a Business Competition Tort known as Tortious Interference with Existing Contractual Relationship. When one party induces another party to break an existing contract with another party, the inducing party may be liable for any damages suffered by the innocent party as a result of breaking the contract.

Scenario: WIRETIME, Inc. (Steve and Walter)
Discuss any liability BUGusa, Inc., may have for Walter’s actions.

Walter learns that Steve is a spy for WIRETIME and detains him in a soundproof room for 6 hours while interrogating him on what information he gave to WIRETIME. Walter used Coercion by threatening to do bodily harm if he doesn’t confess.
