Stakeholder
Stakeholders are those who may be affected by or have an effect on an effort. They may also include people who have a strong interest in the effort for academic, philosophical, or political reasons, even though they and their families, friends, and associates are not directly affected by it.
Primary and Secondary stakeholders: * Primary stakeholders are the people or groups that stand to be directly affected, either positively or negatively, by an effort or the actions of an agency, institution, or organization. In some cases, there are primary stakeholders on both sides of the equation: a regulation that benefits one group may have a negative effect on another. A rent control policy, for example, benefits tenants, but may hurt landlords. * Secondary stakeholders are people or groups that are indirectly affected, either positively or negatively, by an effort or the actions of an agency, institution, or organization. A program to reduce domestic violence, for instance, could have a positive effect on emergency room personnel by reducing the number of cases they see. It might require more training for police to help them handle domestic violence calls in a different way. Both of these groups would be secondary stakeholders.

Introduction to United State International University Africa (USIU-A)
United States International University - Africa, also known as USIU Africa, is a private university in Kenya, the largest economy in the East African Community. It is accredited by the Commission for Higher Education (CHE) in Kenya. The university campus is located in the Mirema neighborhood, in the Kasarani suburb of Nairobi, Kenya's capital and largest city. The university was established in 1969 as the Nairobi Campus of United States International University (USIU), a San Diego-based institution. In 1999, the United States International University, Nairobi Campus, established itself as a separate university under its new name: USIU Africa.

Board of trustees
The USIU-Africa Board of Trustees is responsible for the university's governance as the topmost decision making body, and as a result, is integral to determining how the university meets the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. Under the Charter, the Board of Trustees exercises the following functions: * Appoint members of the University Council; * Raise funds for the benefit of the university; * Promote the objects of the university; * Appoint the university Chancellor; * Receive the audit of USIU; * Investigate complaints arising from the operations of USIU that would affect the sustainability or integrity of USIU-Africa; * Approve the investment of funds.

Customers
USIU-A customers are the future employers who employ the student after graduation with a certificate from USIU-A. Students are considered as raw materials in which the university provide the student with skills and knowledge that will enable the future employer to better succeed in a knowledge economy. Example of USIU-A customers will be like The Government, Non-Governmental organizations, private businesses and companies.

Employees
USIU-A employees are divided into academic and non-academic staffs. Faculty and lecturers are the academic staff

Students: The student is the most important stakeholders in USIU- Africa. This is because the student serves as the raw material of the services offered in the university in terms of undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate courses as well as various majors and concentration. The student school fees is the main revenue generator for the university * Lecturers: The lectures are part of the primary task environment, they play a very important role in the both the development of the university as well as the student. For example, the lectures can affect the operation of the university if they decide to go on strike. * Suppliers: The University procures various product and services from different suppliers, those suppliers are important for the successful operation of the university. The university procures stationaries for the day to day activities of both the academic and non-academic staffs, books for the library, medicine or drugs for the dispensary, amongstother procurement.
