In today’s challenge-wrought environment managers and the business organizations under their leadership have to devise and execute complex critical organizational strategies. Executing these strategies is essential to the healthy growth of all organizations, and program management is the essential tool that can ensure the proper execution of the critical strategies that achieve organizational growth. Successful program management involves choosing projects that support the organization’s strategic intents in order of their importance to these strategic intents. Effective implementation of projects/programs involves the use of both technical and social expertise. Project managers must plan and budget projects and secure and coordinate the contributions of the project/program’s team members (Gray & Larson, 2006). Program management by definition is about pinpointing, qualifying, and dedicating time and resources to projects / programs that focus on the business strategy. More than that,...

...originally was going to write about Leading as my subject matter for the Research Paper. I had been reading articles about Leading for a while and had the two I wanted picked out. Then I was online and read an article about Business Planning. The article was so interesting to me that I switched my topic and found another article on Planning and chose to compare and write about the two. The first article is by Francesca Di Meglio, a reporter for Businessweek.com in Fort Lee, N.J. The article is titled “Real Entrepreneurs Don’t Write Business Plans.” She references a Business School professor, Steve Blank, and talks about his class and what the students are learning about real Entrepreneurship. Professor Blank teaches a class called Lean LaunchPad at UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business, Columbia Business School and Stanford’s engineering school. He says that Entrepreneurship is about getting out into the world and doing, not simply researching and writing. The premise of the course is that aspiring entrepreneurs need to know their customer and must test their hypotheses to have any chance at success. The teams build a product or service at the beginning of class and immediately go out and talk to 10 to 15 people per week to test their theories about business challenges, such as pricing. I find this to be very interesting because I know the importance of hands on experience. My entire career up to this point has been self taught and hands on working experience. If you are...

The network influence and contribution from alumni is not large as compared to US and EU leading teaching institutions. The faculty team is lack of a stable system as all the professors are 3-5 years contract instead of long term relationship. Action Overview: To solve the problem, CEIBS should make the following changes to its strategy and tactics. Proposed changes in the strategy: * Establish a unique business model for CEIBS, as its unique positioning as an interface between China and the world. CEIBS will face increased competition and challenges from the rapid rise of both local business schools and international schools entering China. * CEIBS must continually innovate and strategically upgrade. CEIBS should balance the need to adapt international –standard knowledge to business realities in China. * Currently, China’s economy has entered a new stage. The goal of CEIBS in this new stage must be to become a business which truly gains a foothold in China. It is still unclear what CEIBS’s vision really is, CEIBS should take full advantage of China and Shanghai factor, to strengthen practice-based research including the development...

...Task 1: Define the strategic planning terminologies such as missions, visions, objectives, goals, core competencies. Present the missions, vision, goal, and objectives statements of Myanmar Noble College. The way to make money is to go into business. Then you are rewarded for the risks you take with the skills and knowledge that you have. The simplest form is that of a sole proprietor. Then you are the business. A company's mission statement is a constant reminder to its employees of why the company exists and what the founders envisioned when they put their fame and fortune at risk to breathe life into their dreams. The mission statement should guide the actions of the organization, spell out its overall goal, provide a path, and guide decision making. It provides "the framework or context within which the company's strategies are formulated." It's like a goal for what the company wants to do for the world.
