* Current Situation: To assess the current situation we have to look at the economy, legal, government, technological, socio cultural, supply chain etc kind of aspects. Our company is doing business in service sector. The name of our restaurant is food garden. We are offering a wide range of products to our customers. Fried Chicken, Burger, Pizza, Chicken Pita, Vegetable Pita, Brain Masala, Chicken Ginger, Chicken Karahi, Mutton Karahi, Prawn Masala, Steam Rice are some of our products. Assessing the currents situation from the macro environmental point of view we can expect that our service would be highly beneficial for our customers. * Economy: The available purchasing power in an economy depends on current income, prices, savings, debs, and credit availability. Markets must pay careful attention to trends affecting purchasing power, because they can have a strong impact on business, especially for companies whose products are geared to high income and price sensitive consumers.
As per World Bank data, his GDP of south asia is estimated at 1.1 trillion, though this consumes just about 2.3 % of the world’s GDP.
In real terms Bangladesh's economy has grown 5.8% per year since 1996 despite political instability, poor infrastructure, corruption, insufficient power supplies, and slow implementation of economic reforms. Bangladesh remains a poor, overpopulated, and inefficiently-governed nation. More than half of GDP is generated through the service sector. Bangladesh's growth was resilient during the 2008-09 global financial crisis and recession.
For higher GDP growth, investments in both public and private sectors will need to be accelerated. The prevailing political and economic instability has greatly discouraged investment in the private sector. The trend of foreign direct investment is very discouraging. The government is committed to market economy and has been pursuing policies for supporting and encouraging private investment and eliminating unproductive expenditures in the public sector. Though It is very challenging task to invest in the instable economic condition but as a patriot we like to change and promote our country through the theme restaurant. * Legal: The political and legal environment consists of laws, government agencies, and pressure groups that influence and limit various organizations and individuals. Sometimes these laws also create new opportunities for business. Two major trends in the political legal environment are the increase in business legislation and the growth of special interest groups.Starting a restaurant means we get to plan our food type, restaurant decor and menu, but we also have several legal concerns to address before serving our first customer. We have registered our business name as “food garden”. We have collected our business license from the controlling jurisdiction of Dhaka city. Properly handling legal issues makes the grand opening easier while reducing our risk for additional expenses, fines or legal action. Once our license is issued and our restaurant is open, we'll potentially face additional inspections in order to maintain our license. * Technology: Technology touches every facet of our lives – as it always has – but with the emergence of mobile devices and cloud computing making more of an impact than ever, we’d be hard-pressed to go anywhere and not find a high-tech piece of hardware or software around. These advances have made an impact everywhere, and one of the places we’re seeing more and more technology is in the food and restaurant industry.
There have been a variety of iPad mounts for the kitchen available for our homes for some time, but now we’re seeing them invade the kitchens and dining areas of restaurants.
We emphasize on three different areas of focus for technology in our food garden restaurant environment. Firstly we follow point-of-sale systems that track items sold and volume. Secondly we follow back-office solutions that monitor inventory, payroll and menu costing, among others. Finally, we use tools for marketing the business such as Web sites, e-marketing, loyalty programs and gift cards as well as reservations."
Managers can control the food and labor costs, Grimes says. As much as 60 percent of profits are tied to how well you manage workers and food. So when going into an interview, it's important you know what tools are available to increase your likelihood of success, he says.
For instance, some programs will tell a manager when to let people leave early during a slow shift to avoid profit losses. Some systems help managers oversee part-time workers to decrease overtime pay and account for underage employees, who may not be able to work in any position or have restricted hours. Facebook and Twitter are the most popular forms of e-marketing among restaurants, far surpassing SMS/text messaging. * Ecological environment: Sustainable food production and achieving food security for all are among the major challenges that Bangladesh is confronted with. Food security has been and will remain a major concern for Bangladesh. In order to be one of the most environmentally friendly restaurants in bangladesh we use:
In-house production: we are making several items in-house, including vinegars, jams and sausage.
USE OF GLASS INSTEAD OF PLASTIC PACKAGING: Due to the harmful properties that plastics have on the environment, we pay great attention to this fact and endeavor to use more glass packaging options rather than plastic in the delivering of goods.
RECYCLING OF PAPER AND OTHER MATERIALS: It is a well-known fact that the excessive consumption of paper causes great damage to the environment. Within the premises of the restaurant, we have reduced paper consumption considerably within our offices, kitchens and restaurants. Wherever possible, paper is reused, thereby constantly improving the recycling program.
RECYCLING OF ALUMINIUM, COPPER AND IRON: We save valuable raw materials by recycling metals, providing a cleaner environment and a better quality of life.
BATTERY RECYCLING: In order to protect the environment we have placed collection points for the disposal of used batteries within the restaurant. uSE OF ENERGY-SAVING LAMPS: Long before the proposal of the European Union for the use of energy saving lamps, Food Garden on its own initiative installed energy saving lamps in all rooms and public areas.
USE OF NATURAL GAS FOR THE OPERATION OF COOKING AND HEATING EQUIPMENT: Natural gas is an environmentally friendly option with many advantages. For this reason it is widely used by us to run most cooking and heating appliances. In this way we help to reduce the emissions of CO2 responsible for global warming.
USED COOKING OIL COLLECTION
This activity is a great benefit to the environment, and we aim to contribute towards collecting cooking oils and edible fats in suitable containers, forwarding them to independent recycling companies for further management (biofuels).
USE OF ECOLOGICAL WASHING DETERGENTS AND CLEANING PRODUCTS: Due to the thousands of sheets and linen washed every day within the restaurant, we have adopted the use of biodegradable washing detergents and cleaning products. Written instructions can be found in all rooms informing our guests of the most appropriate use of white linen. These instructions spare the environment from the excess use of detergents. * Socio-cultural: BANGLADESH IS NOTED for the remarkable ethnic and cultural homogeneity of its population. Over 98 percent of its people are Bengalis; the remainder are Biharis, or non-Bengali Muslims, and indigenous tribal peoples. We are particularly proud of our rich cultural and linguistic heritage because our independent nation is partially the result of a powerful movement to uphold and preserve our language and culture. We identify ourselves closely with Bangla, our national language. Bangladesh’s socio-cultural environment contains pervasive gender discrimination, so girls and women face many obstacles to their development. But as a conscious citizen we like to remove gender discrimination. We also like to promote our country and that is why we have used special dress code for our employees. * Supply chain: supply chain management is the oversight of materials, information, and finances as they move in a process from supplier to manufacturer to wholesaler to retailer to consumer.
Flow of supply chain management.
The product flow
The information flow
The finances flow

* Current situation: In order to know the current situation of our restaurant we hve prepared break even analysis, operating bresk even analysis, financial break even analysis, monthly sales forces, expenses, profit loss statement. We’re assuming increase in sales will be 2% per month following the previous month’s sales. From the income statement which is already given, we’ve found that our net income will be $61 million. So it is clear that the current situation of our business is very strong. * People

...20 Reasons Why You Need a Business Plan Categories: * Business Planning 1. To prove that you’re serious about your business. A formal business plan is necessary to show all interested parties -- employees, investors, partners and yourself -- that you are committed to building the business. 2. To establish business milestones. The business plan should clearly lay out the long-term milestones that are most important to the success of your business. To paraphrase Guy Kawasaki, a milestone is something significant enough to come home and tell your spouse about (without boring him or her to death). Would you tell your spouse that you tweaked the company brochure? Probably not. But you'd certainly share the news that you launched your new website or reached $1M in annual revenues. 3. To better understand your competition. Creating the business plan forces you to analyze the competition. All companies have competition in the form of either direct or indirect competitors, and it is critical to understand your company's competitive advantages. 4. To better understand your customer. Why do they buy when they buy? Why don’t they when they don't? An in-depth customer analysis is essential to an effective business plan and to a successful business. 5. To enunciate previously unstated assumptions. The process of actually writing the business plan helps to bring previously "hidden" assumptions to the foreground. By writing them down and assessing them, you can test them and...
