Mobile Collect Call Application

Calling collect has been one of the key services in the wireline networks. It has allowed operators to generate additional revenues and has enabled subscribers to connect to friends and family from public locations, especially in an emergency. Canvas® PayForMe™, Mobile Collect Call Application, brings the same functionality to wireless operators.
The Canvas® brand covers multiple solutions with key components that are optimal for future growth in the evolving next generation networks. Each Canvas product offers not only a point solution, but also reusable building blocks that seamlessly integrate with other Canvas products as well as with Telenity partner solutions. Canvas PayForMe is a member of the Canvas Value Added Services portfolio. It is a network based value added service solution that enables wireless carriers to target end-users like the youth market, low budget and prepaid subscribers and enterprises. It allows mobile subscribers to make collect calls without the involvement of an operator through a simple USSD message or a voice call. The benefits of Canvas PayForMe include the following: Convenience of Placing a Call Without Available Credits Canvas PayForMe application offers pre-paid subscribers a peace of mind that, in case of a personal emergency, they can reverse the charges even if the pre-paid account is depleted. Cannot recharge their credit because they do not have access to a recharge mechanism ? Want to reverse the charges for personal or business reasons It is a great relief and peace of mind for subscribers to know that they can initiate calls when they are out of credit. Also operators have a new way of generating revenue and charging for calls thus taking their billing model to a new era. User-friendly Interaction The subscriber can make a mobile collect call virtually from any mobile phone thus it is not handset dependent. The service also informs callers of the status of their mobile collect calls when the call is accepted or rejected by the recipients.

Mobile Collect Call Application

Product Overview
Canvas PayForMe application is integrated with the Canvas product family. It assures unparalleled flexibility in adding value to mobile, fixed and IP networks. The application is triggered by a USSD string followed with the target MSISDN, SMS message or a prefix based call, which makes the service available even while roaming. Below is a generic service initiation example from a USSD interface: A Party (Caller) dials a USSD string followed by the phone number of the B Party (Called Party) to request a PayForMe transaction. The system then generates a call to B party informing that A Party with the specified phone number is requesting for the call to be paid. If B Party selects “Yes“ and accepts the call, two parties are connected and his ordinary bill or prepaid account is charged only for the duration of the call. If B Party selects “No”, the collect call request is rejected, USSD or SMS notification is sent to the A Party informing him that his request is rejected by the B Party.

A Blank Canvas

...of imagination with the purpose of gaining happiness or life’s true meaning. Imagination is something which is unique to ever individual on earth past or present, because like the world we live in, imagination is in constant change, adaption and always learning. When unlocked and encompassed with the power of the mind, imagination can achieve endless means in theory. For an artist this may be a chance to create something new, something colourful or perhaps even dark. For a scholar it creates a chance of expression through words. Right to expression however, is key to any successful contemporary or classical work most importantly. Whether for good or bad intentions it creates the basis for which to explore and perhaps even indulge. A blank canvas creates a new beginning. Like a second chance in life, an empty sheet can give an individual a new beginning and allows him/her to forget the past, it is no longer relevant, unless the artist depicts it that way. If it were not for blank canvases nothing new would ever be imagined just simply copied, tweaked and regurgitated in another...

Eduard Manet

...form of the fruit. However, this painting is nothing less than sophisticated demonstrating Manet’s true command of color and touch with his brush. The painting is encompassed by dull, dark colors with sporadic brightness. Manet uses different forms of yellow to capture the color, shape, and texture of the lemon. The sudden brightness in the painting can be seen as the natural reflection that the lemon and the plate give off. He also utilizes dark browns mixed with green to reflect the depth and texture of the plate. His brush strokes are different throughout the painting. At times the brush strokes are hard and streaky, and at other times very clean. The painting is open composition, with the plate that the lemon is resting on going off the canvas. The lemon is horizontally depicted, with a strong shallow sense of...

Ancient Art

...Ancient Art AIU Online: HUMA205 Abstract This is an essay that will analyze two important works of ancient art. They will be analyzed in terms of their form, subject matter and content. It will explain how these two art works fit into the time period they were made. Using the terminology and concepts of evaluating art, this paper will compare the two pieces of art in consideration with their style, symbolism and meaning of them. The first work of ancient art chosen for this assignment is The House with the Cracked Walls by Paul Cézanne (1839–1906). It was painted between the years of 1892 and 1894 with oil on a canvas. It is a painting of a house scenario surrounded by trees, rocks and grass. The house looks abandoned or not lived in. Some will say that it is a romantic scenery of solitude and intensity. It is a painting of deep imagination and creativity: the sky is intense and empty, the ground is unstable and steep, the horizon is irregular, and the trees seem agitated as well as the rising appearance of the ground. The balance of the painting starts with the cracked house because this effect leads down to the rocks, the ground and the lines and cracks on the trees. The shadows and dark colors create balance as well: earthly colors of greens, greys, tans, blues and browns. The vertical shape of the entire painting gives it a pressed together look with the ground rising up to the house and trees that are rising up to the sky. Symbolism, in my opinion, is greatly used...

Art Critique Paper

...Title: Mu Nu (Mother and Daughter) Artist: Hung Lui Medium: Oil on Canvas Description I chose to write about Hung Liu, Mu Nu (Mother and Daughter). The painting by Hung Lui in 1997; Liu used oil on canvas as her medium. The result is a timeless 80 x 140 inch by inch painting that is currently housed in Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, Museum. The roughly 7 by 11 foot painting shows two women hunched over, ropes tied around their waist, strain on hands and knees to pull a heavy load. The point of this searing image, which calls to mind slavery and extreme poverty, is that they’re performing the labor of oxen or machines. The lack of shoes, tools, and simple cloths reinforce the depiction of poverty. The negative space is filled with a large, ghostly looking, shallow body of water and a crowd of earthy colored rocks. Analysis From experiences in China, starting at the age of five, Hung Liu used memories, sketches, and photos to create this figurative oil painting. Painted from a photo, the two women are depicted in washed-out grays; she uses shades of gray for the mother and darker more predominant colors for the clothing and skin of the daughter. While the background landscape contains more vibrant colors. She uses horizontal lines to create a pattern of continuation or beginning to end of a rock path. Rocks, water, as well as the mother to daughter stretching left to right on the canvas. There is also a rhythm of moving forward created by the raise of...
