After a brief period in the Hollywood film production business, Huffman now works as a freelance writer while he pursues his dream of becoming a published fiction author and screenwriter. Hoffman considers that a software developers get paid more than a User Interface Design. He argues that “User Interface Design annually makes $61,000 per year according to payscale.com and a Software Developer makes slightly over $100,000 in May 2013.” Huffman bias is that BLS predicts that nearly a third of all of those new jobs will be created in the computer science subfield of software development.

Rebecca claims that one of the biggest things computer science majors learns is how to think logically through a problem to solve it. She also has other computer scientist and other students on the web to back up her claim. Vander bias comes from Chris Stephenson, Executive Director of the Computer Science Teachers Association who adds that good computer scientists also understand teamwork and are good communicators.

This editorial contradicts some of my other sources, which claim that there are issues in the computer science field.

Environmental Education Standout

After researching I have decided to become a computer scientist because I love computers and I love to work with them. Actually I think that I will become a good computer scientist. I am not just in it for the money; I just love working with technology in general. As of today, my family is always calling to fix their computer whenever something is wrong with it. I do not charge them anything, but I do come and I always coming up with a solution to fix the problem. I want to become a computer scientist one day. While in college I am taking up computer science. Math is really hard and it’s getting harder, but it’s not really a problem for me because, I am willing to face the challenges when it comes to be something that I always wanted to be and I am not going to let math stop me. In this essay you will find the answers to many questions about the field of computer science.
It is important to have a degree, no matter what the field is going to be. Today jobs are growing each and every day in the computer science field. According to Callie, Malvik from ramussen.edu, The truth is 88 percent of the nearly 350,000 computer science jobs posted in the past year required a bachelor’s degree. So I can tell there that I will need to have a least a bachelor’s degree to become a computer scientist. Imagine if someone decided to just go straight in to an internship without even having a degree, but there is on-hand experience. That doesn’t mean that person can make as much money as the person that does have a degree. No, that wouldn’t even be fair for the person that has the degree. Internships are great as long as a person is going to school and has an internship, the choice is yours. Hoffman, Stevens from insights.dice.com argues that computer science majors participate in student projects, volunteer to work as a computer scientist, campus communities and internships so you can acquire hands on technical experience. Most computer science students spend time building their own applications and systems but businesses don’t necessarily need that type of expertise. Hot skills include systems integration, business intelligence, cloud computing SQL, .Net, C, mobile languages and Java. She also preserves that it takes most CS students six years to earn a degree since many initially drop out of math and programming classes, yet manage to succeed the second time around. According to Oliver, Andrew from infoworld.com, he stopped relying on computer science degrees because he argues that most schools “suck at teaching theory.” He also says that, from his experience, having an interest in the field and great problem solving skills is more successful that a college degree in that field. He says that we will be better off working internships than actually having the degree to become a computer scientist in which, I don’t agree, if that was the case then everybody will just skip the college part and join internships. In his experience, self-motivation, a nearly pathological interest in the field, and great problem-solving skills are vastly better indicators than a college degree that a hire will be successful.
Hoffman, Michael from computerscienceonline.org says that critical thinking and math skills are necessary for computer scientist for an example, software engineers need lots of code-oriented skills. Anyone could do it that way but there is not enough money to be made that way. Oliver, Andrew says that most grads don’t seem to be getting their money worth from the trusty BSCS degree. So I encourage anyone to go to college so that way the money can be made after college. Singal, Vinamrata from huffintonpost.com says that being a computer science major is hard but you won’t get anywhere unless you try. Prudchenko, Kate from seattlepi.com argues that, computer science degree’s gives students a foundation in theoretical and practical issues in computer science. So if someone is trying to become a computer scientist. Prudchenko, Kate says that most universities offer broad background in mathematics, logic, programming languages, computer architecture and network security. She also that core topics may include operating systems, computer organization, data structure algorithms, systems, and programming languages. By earning a bachelor’s degree, your job opportunities skyrocket compared to those with no college experience. Furthering your education means you’re creating a better, more stable future for your family, according to Callie, Malvik from rasmussen.edu.
After researching I see that many websites can prove that computer scientist make a fat income. Of Course, computer jobs are getting larger in the computer science field. I would prefer getting a master’s degree in that field. According to Abrea, Alma from usnewsuniversitydirectory.com in order to obtain a graduate degree in these areas, individuals can start out with a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, software engineering, information technology and information systems. It takes four years to complete a bachelor’s degree and a PhD typically takes five years to complete. After all computer scientist does make good money. Also according to Abrea, Alma there was 24,210 jobs in May 2014 the lowest 10% had a yearly salary of $66,030 or less, the highest 10% earned $165,600 annually. I am saying that was in 2014 so imagine how much the salary is now in year 2016, that’s good money.
According to Hoffman, Michael from computerscienceonline.org a User Interface Design annual wage is estimated around $61,000 per year according to payscale.com, and a Software Developer in May 2013 was making slightly over $100,000. He says that the national median annual salaries can fall within $70,000 to 90,000 with job growth between 20 and 25 percent in the coming decade. He also points out that computer science occupations pay well due to increasing demand to skilled computer scientist, good salaries are bond to remain years to come. According to Huffman-Stevens from insights.dice.com, Employment in all computer occupations is expected to increase by 22 percent by 2020. In the computer science field, it requires team work Chris Stephenson, executive Director of the Computer Science Teachers Association, adds that a computer scientist also understands teamwork and good communication. They work with people all of the time even those that are not computer scientist. According to Malvik, Callie from Rasmussen.edu, the highest annual salary is $102,880 for a software systems developer with job growth increasing up to 15-20 percent and 17,356 available jobs and the lowest is a web developer who only makes $63,490 with job growth increasing 15-21 percent and 19,993 available jobs. According to
Hoffman, Michael from computerscienceonline.com it is important to give it some serious thought since career and lifestyle are so inextricably connected. Consider elements such as family, social interests, environment (big city vs. small town, for example), stress, workload, etc. Remember, once established, it can be difficult to change a career’s direction or focus. Don’t make the mistake in believing that a job’s effect on lifestyle will change as the years go by. He also explains while many skills are necessary for all CS specializations (critical thinking and math, to name two), there are plenty of others that are much more subject oriented. For example, software engineers need lots of code-oriented skills such as working effectively with existing code (internal infrastructure, third-party libraries, etc.) and the ability to code in multiple languages. Robotics engineers, on the other hand, will find the need for skills such as engineering design processes, materials analysis techniques, the ability to work with CAD systems, as well as the ability read and create schematics and blueprints. The key to developing the right skills is determining the ones most needed for each specialization under consideration and seeking out the classes and training required to develop those skills. In doing so, most students quickly discover which ones are easiest to obtain and are the most interesting to them.
There are issues in this field for a computer scientist, such as mathematics that people have to deal with the math gets harder and harder. Those who ask me what I am taking up, they say that it is good money but the math is what gets them. That what gets many people who are taking up computer science. That is why so many have failed in that field but those who have went back to complete college became successful in that field. According to Hoffman, Stevens from instights.dice.com, explains that less than 40% of U.S grads complete science, technology, engineering, and math programs graduate with a degree. I don’t think the percentage amount is that much, but the reason why is because of the hard courses. Hoffman, Stevens also explains that it takes most computer science students six years to earn a degree since many initially drop out of math and programming classes, but they do manage to succeed the second time around. Singal, Vinamrata says that being a computer science major is hard, but you will not get anywhere unless you try. Oliver, Andrew points out that people who earned a computer science degree. “most of them don’t know theory and can’t code and that’s why employers are so picky when it comes to getting a job in that field.” According to Wayner, Peter from infoworld.com, software takes over more of our life, the ethical ramifications of decisions made by programmers only become greater. He also argues that “snapchat built its brand on doing a very bad job of backing up data, but its users are attracted by the freedom of the forgetful system.” He also says that Europe has strict laws about retaining personal information and views privacy breaches as ethical failures. In other words, what he is saying is that we cannot always rely on computers. It is nice to see that computers are making things easier, but in general they are always crashing, and people will be stealing personal information from websites if one is not careful.
In conclusion, I think that I will want to stay in this field even though I do not like problem solving and math but I also have confidence in myself that I can do it. When I first started going to back in 2003 college back in 2003 I was taking up computer programming. The main reason why I didn’t finish is because of the math classes that I had to take, the math seems to be getting hard and another reason why I quit is because I became pregnant, I thought that was too much for me. Today, I am not going to let anything stop me because I know that I can do it. When I do get my degree and get a job in that field I am going to take care of my children and my husband. I am going to get that six-bedroom brick house with two large bathrooms that I have always wanted and I am going to get my black 2016 Chevy Tahoe. I am going to travel and I am going to enjoy life with my family.
