3) Word of the Day on blue board (flourish). Explain the meaning and read the sentence. Have the kids say the word 4 times in a row. Have the kids use the word a few times in sentences. Review the past words (on top of the blue board). Students can share Word of the Day Words they have found in their reading books. They need to say the word, define the word, and then read the sentence the word is in. They can get one sucker for doing this. They may eat it in class.
Have students make a Word of the Day slide in Google Classroom for flourish. Cut this off after 5 or so minutes.
