Charlotte Brontë is a poet and a novelist, known as one of the most famous Victorian women writers. Brontë’s writing has a very important influence in the Victorian period — it is said that because of her experimentation with poetic forms — the long narrative poem and the dramatic monologue became the most recognisable elements in the works of the Victorian times.
