The purpose of this memo is evaluating strategies for competing for customers within and across market segments.
I highly recommend that CP3000 should decrease price and Cilkray should update product’s install processing to make it easy to use and install. The reasons are listed below.
In early 2011, Cilkray focused targeting on Task segment that was lower-end products; and then Cilkray shifted to target knowledge and power markets since the higher-end will be more profitable. Gradually, Power segment becomes the most profitable and then Cilkray decides to leverage the CP3000 to gain more market share; Cilkray will also upgrade the product for Knowledge segment and plan to launch the CK300.
