I received my AA/HCA in November of 2011, also from the University of Phoenix. I chose health care management because I wanted to become a nurse but because of a back injury I am unable to do the physical work required of a nurse. Working in health care administration I still get to help patients by making sure the office is running smoothly to make sure the patient’s experience is as pleasant and trouble free as my staff and I possibly can make it. I do not have work experience in the health care field but I do have customer service experience which I feel will be an asset in my new career. On the personal side, I am 38 years old and have been married to my wonderful husband for 20 years this coming October. We have two sons ages 19 and 15. We live in a small Oregon town on just a little under an acre. We are hoping to start a garden next spring and we are planning on adding goats, chickens, and rabbits to our small farm.
