With help from bicycle maker Tom Ritchey, founder of Ritchey Design, Bikes to Rwanda designed bikes with longer frames to be able to transport up to 350 lbs. Until Bikes to Rwanda started providing bikes, workers had to carry bags full of cherries up and down the steep muddy unpaved hills one bag at a time. Now, workers can carry up to two bags at a time and much quicker than before.
