Both Katniss and Rainsford have qualities of true survivor some are the same and some only one possesses. Katniss and Rainsford are both survivors forced to fight for survival and traits like intelligence and resourcefulness are some of the traits that make both of them true survivors. Along with some other traits that only one of them have instead of both like integrity and determination.

One trait both of them possess is intelligence Katniss shows this by setting up a distraction so she can get the job done easier. And she makes people like her so she can get sponsors to save her life when in need for it. Rainsford shows this by knowing to make a winding path with dead ends to make Zaroff get lost and he made traps to try and kill Zaroff.
