With these two characters in the story both have two achetypal character that appear through the story. The man seems to be more the dark night archetype because he wants to do what he wants to have happen by contridicting himself to try and confuse the woman that is pregant. He also appears a small tyrant. He seems to try and bully her into getting the operation (abortion) done so he doesn’t have to deal with a child. The woman also has two archetypes to her one of them being the damsel in distress. She is being pressured into trying to have the operation but her having the strong will and power she resists it showing the damsel in distress part of her.
