Specific Report: The Consumer (A Corporate Objective)

A. Summary of Report
The consumer is a final cause of business as the recipient of the product, and is therefore also the indirect object of the business act. If the consumer is an ultimate concern of the business act, then service to the consumer is an ultimate objective of the whole business concept. Satisfaction of the consumer’s human needs is the underlying principle of this service. The concept of human needs goes back to the concept of man himself in whom the needs naturally inhere. They exist to address man’s own requirements for existence, and therefore as a consumer he has to consume to address those needs. That is in his nature as a human being. He has to feed, to clothe, and to seek shelter- all for his survival, comfort and protection. These needs create demand; and as demands are at the root of economics, so are needs at the root of business. Addressing the consumer needs is not only a role of the businessman but a serious challenge to him.

If business exists to satisfy human needs, then business must be concerned with what these needs are and how they can be satisfied. The efforts should be addressed not only to management’s capabilities but also to the concepts and requirements of the needs themselves.
Man has his perfections and imperfections. While he is perfect in the order of being and participates in the perfection of his Creator in the order of rationality, he has been left with inadequacies both in the order of rationality or intellect and in his material and spiritual natures.

Man as an individual is one integral entity transcending the distinction between his material and spiritual components. This distinction is real and clear. In fact it is the deep sense of awareness of this distinction and a similarly deep sense of awareness of these components that lead to an objective

The money I make goes to rent, bills, gas, groceries, and any other expenses. The main stores I shopped at were Dollar Tree, Wal-Mart, and Aldi’s. I also spent way too much money at restaurants such as Mattito’s and Golden Corral. Also, I noticed I eat out more than I buy groceries, which showed why I didn’t have very many product purchases. There are many products I am brand loyal to but there were a few that I tried to change since they were on sale or I just wanted to try something new. I also found that I chose more products that weren’t name brand. I think that I chose these because I was on a budget and I knew how much I wanted to spend when I was at the store. I found that the name brand products were always at least two to three dollars more than brands that weren’t name brand. I also found that some of the brands that aren’t name brand taste a lot better and you usually get more than you pay for out of the non name brand products. One of the products that I am really happy I tried was a new Keurig K-Cup coffee brand called “Cameron’s”. The box of 12 was very inexpensive only costing $4 compared to the Folgers Gourmet that I usually buy that costs around $8 with tax. So, I spent half and I feel I got better quality. I also really wanted to try this particular product because it was different than all of the other K-Cups...
