Application for the Bachelors degree program in Internal Business
Dear Sir/Madam,
It is no doubt that good education is an important factor that can help shape the future. At the young age of nine, I enjoyed helping my mother in her small retail shop. Every weekend, I would go to help her with sales. She always gave me the book-keeping tasks of recording the sales and purchases. Although, I made lots of mistakes, I still enjoyed this task the most as it also helped me master the prices of the goods and learn the trade better. This has shaped my adulthood as I still keep good records of things I do.
Due to my passion for business and business related matters, my parents set up a little retail business for me in Nigeria in 2004 after I completed my High school education. The business carried on well as my organizational, managing and book-keeping skills had improved a lot due to the knowledge I gained from High school. This continued to be a driving force to my continuous quest to gaining more business knowledge.
In 2010, I started a higher vocational training in administration and finance in Tenerife, Spain. Living and studying in a new environment, learning a foreign language and culture has been interesting, challenging and fulfilling. At first, the language barrier made it extremely frustrating to communicate, integrate and associate but this did not discourage me rather, it motivated me even more to learn the language. My study in Spain has helped me understand people, the environment and the world even better. It has further sharpened my focus and helped me realize that with the right knowledge, hard work and persistence, I can achieve even those dreams that seem far-fetched.
An essential factor that attracted me to apply for the International business program in Reutlingen University is its strong international orientation and rare business environment which provides a platform to apply one´s theoretical knowledge.
In pursuit of my goal of building a career in business, I believe that the educational approach used in this program will help me gain not just knowledge but also the essential practical skills to real life situation; which is often ignored by many universities.
To be very successful in today´s business world, an international context has to be applied. I am convinced that this degree program will aid me acquire the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge as well expertise I need to be successful in the business world.
