Identity theft has plagued the USA for decades first the crime This crime has been brought to light after the latest arrest of a Baltimore City Police Officer Ashley Roane she was recently charged with this crime among others including federal drug charges. Identity theft which is a gut wrenching ordeal to go through has been performed by an Officer who had access to police databases where she clearly abused her power. She has been charged in thirty counts of identity theft by stealing their birthdates and social security numbers and filing false tax returns and pocketing the funds from this elaborate scheme. This was once common by white collar criminals but, now is being done by police. Ms. Roane not only defrauded the
