1. The bible says “but in your hearts honor Christ the lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect” (1 Peter 3:15) In the article, How Can We Know the Bible Is the Word of God? We are offered a number of characteristics that set the bible apart from other books. Even with the number of confirmed characteristics, skepticism still lies in the hearts of some. Knowing what you believe is necessary because without knowledge, how can we justify our beliefs? Being able to defend our beliefs makes our faith solid and offers no room for consideration of the theories of non-believers.

2. “You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all of your heart. I will be found by you declares the lord,” (Jeremiah 2:13-14) Being raised in the church does not necessarily determine whether you will adopt these beliefs as an adult. I believe that you can have the bible taught to you starting at a young age and still have your faith shaken if you do not fully accept God and his word in your heart. I believe that God is our eternal father and that Jesus Christ our savior is the son. I believe that the bible is the word of God. My beliefs are supported by significant evidence from the bible and further justified by the article mentioned above.
