There have been a lot of debates about legalized marijuana and whether it should be state or federal decision. Should it be a federal or state decision? That seems to be the question that everyone as of late is asking. In my opinion, it is a federal issue, and the federal government should make a decision for all of the states. To begin, when states’ make marijuana legal or make it legal to possess marijuana, it can make its way to the national market and be sold in states where it is illegal. This is possible because of the act that was passed by the government so that it is not difficult to cross state lines. For example, if an individual were to buy marijuana legally in Colorado he/she could then cross the state line into Wyoming and sell it illegally there. Personally, I think that is way too many. In some cases there are even dispensaries only a few blocks apart. If the federal government were to make a decision on marijuana they would probably do a better job of regulating and limiting the amount of dispensaries in cities (Document B). In addition, since marijuana is considered illegal on a federal level, banks can be charged or even shut down for taking money made selling marijuana. This causes a problem in a sense that the dispensaries have to hold their own money either in the store or in some other location. Criminals are aware of this and there have been many robberies of marijuana dispensaries. Should the federal government make a decision on this issue, it could define what the banks can do and prevent many robberies of marijuana
