...ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOR TERMINOLOGY AND CONCEPTS Organizational Behavior Terminology and Concepts Abraham Perez University of Phoenix Dr. Monica Galante MGT/307 Organizational Behavior and Group Dynamics October 27, 2010 Organizational Behavior Terminology When working in a group, there are many people working from different backgrounds. Most of the people working in groups have different types of views on work related problems. Companies that you work for have different organizational culture, organizational behavior, they have different diversity, and they have to have good communication between them. Organizational Culture “There Are no single definition for organizational culture.” (http://www.au.af.mil/au/awc/awcgate/ndu/strat-ldr-dm/pt4ch16.html) Actually, there are different types of definitions for it. One of the definitions would be as follows: “A set of understanding or meanings shared by a group of people that are largely tacit among members and are clearly relevant and distinctive to the particular group which are also passed on to new members (Louis 1980)”. What this means is that there are different types of background work methods that are actually pass from employer to employee to create a better work environment. ...Research and Terminology Paper Damon Walton CJA/334 June 15, 2015 Sharon Taylor Research and Terminology Paper The cornerstone to any discipline or field of study is the ability to conduct research in a competent manner. The criminal justice practioners needs a sound foundation in the research process and terminology to be effective. According to the Merriam-Webster, research is the studious inquiry or examination; especially : investigation or experimentation aimed at the discovery and interpretation of facts, revision of accepted theories or laws in the light of new facts, or practical application of such new or revised theories or laws ("Definition of Research", 2015). The research process is a strategy to solve a problem or to answer a basic question. The methodology being used must be accurate and verifiable so the results can be trusted. The terminology culled from this week reading was theory, objectivity, methodology, pure research, applied research and confidentiality. According to Hagan (2010), theory is the attempt to classify and organize events, and see a trend where events may occur, and to understand the underlying causality of these events. In the field of criminal justice a theory is a good starting block to understand the why and what of something especially when it involves crime. Theories being in used in this field can be fine tuned or even replaced as more information becomes available to the researcher. An example of this is the prevailing theory...

What some of the viewpoints of teachers and the impact of characteristics on curricular needs, learning, and social attitudes for students with intellectual disabilities. If we ask a school teacher, psychologist, or parent with a child of ID what the definition was for intellectual disability we would probably get a different answer from everyone. With that in mind than there can be issues relating to the identification and terminology of students with intellectual disabilities because everyone has their own ideas of what ID consists of. From my own prospective I considered ID as a term to mean that a child has limitations to their ability of learning on an expected level, and there are different levels of ID. If a child has an intellectual disability then they might develop and learn on a slower pace than peers of their age. The levels could be considered severe or they might just have a slight intellectual disability. When asking someone from the special education team they responded by saying intellectual disability can be defined as a disability that has considerable limitations in adaptive behavior and intellectual functioning. This to me deals with anything of practical and social skills. Once the terminology is determined than the identification process can take place...

MAR translates to Medication Administration Record. At the earliest point the MAR was utilized through paper and each medication was initialed as given leaving much room for error. A quarter of all Americans have received, or know a family member who has received the wrong medication from a healthcare professional. (Cousins, 1998) A survey showed the 61% of Americans were “very concerned” about being given the wrong medicine. (Cohen, 1999) The e- MAR has created a new path for the healthcare field to take. A path that institutes the "5 Rights" that nurses institute while administering medication. With the electronic MAR it reduces the chance for errors. Errors will however occur for 2 reasons in this writers opinion. One, due to the fact that no system computerized or otherwise is 100 % failsafe, and two because some staff will click...

Having said that, the act of constantly searching the definitions of terminology used by dermatologists was expected and I was surprised to find that there was very little searching to be done. Considering that this article was published in a fashion website instead in an academic setting, it is coherent to why Yoon-Soo used laymen terms and stayed clear from complex terminology. That being said, it would have been useful to apply some terminology along with the definition.
