Re: Salesforce.com User and Developer Conference Proposal

I’m writing to ask for approval to attend salesforce.com’s annual user conference, Dreamforce ‘12, September 18-21 in San Francisco. The entire community of salesforce.com experts will be on hand to learn and share best practices, hands-on training, new innovations and a lot more. Dreamforce is in its tenth year, and post-event surveys of past attendees have shown substantially increased return on their Salesforce investment, which you can see here (http://www.salesforce.com/dreamforce/DF12/justify-your-trip.jsp). Many of the customers who have experienced these successes will be featured as guest speakers.

In particular, I’d like to focus on finding solutions or best practices that could benefit these projects:

• [add project or initiative]
• [add project or initiative]
• [add project or initiative]

In addition to 750+ breakout sessions with salesforce.com customer and partner speakers, the conference offers the chance to problem solve with salesforce.com employees and technology partners. The Social Enterprise Expo, which features Salesforce solutions plus 300+ partners and 1,000+ integrated solutions, is an ideal place to pick up new ideas to drive more productivity from our implementation and maximize your Salesforce investment.

Here’s an approximate breakdown of conference costs:

Airfare: $ xxx Transportation (between airport and hotel): $ 90 Hotel: (3 nights at $200) $ 600 Meals: (3 days at $50) $ 150 Registration Fee: $ xxx [check for current price]

Total: $ X,XXX

This conference should deliver incredible value. Attached you’ll find the results I received from an ROI calculator on the Dreamforce website. The figures show potential attendance ROI in specific areas of our business.

In terms of product lines, it includes single-family and multi-family housing, both attached and unattached, on an individual basis and as part of planned developments or communities. In terms of sectors served, these products and services are provided for individuals and communities in the residential, commercial, industrial, hospitality, and leisure/resort sectors. These homes are made to appeal to homebuyers at various price points, degrees of urbanization and ruralization, demographic segments and stages of life. Competitive products are differentiated based on factors such as location, reputation, quality, features, design and price. Competition in the home building industry comes from a number of sources. First, the industry itself is widely fragmented, in terms of the number of players. At the peak of the industry’s prosperity, at the height of the recent housing bubble, the top ten players in the industry accounted for only 35% of its sales in dollars. The actual number of players considered legitimately “in the game” at a nationally-visible level numbers between 1,500 and 3,000 at any given time, depending on the industry’s prosperity level....
