The only one

And then it happened. She looked at me. She looked me deep in the eyes. It was one of those days she had her beautiful yellow dress on and had untied her gorgeous dark brown hair. I remember that day they had teased her, and she had sat on my bed, at my home and cried. They can be really silly sometimes. She didn’t do anything, yet she got her hair clipped off on the left side. And even when she was half bald, she looked like she always do, perfect! But now, she stands here and looks at me. It’s like all the things she did to me just disappears. All the bitter words she had been standing and shouted at me, they all just disappear. Her eyes are shining as if there were several million stars in them. So what if she was one of them? They think they know her. They think she is like them, but they don’t know that once she was mine. Maybe she’s handing around with them, and maybe her new boyfriend is one of them, but they do not know her. They do not know that she prays every night. They do not know why she wears a necklace I gave her. They don’t even know that I gave her that necklace. I know what she sees every time she closes her eyes. She looked down, and then up at me again. I know she will do it all over for the last time. But how cans a broken heart broke again? I would do anything to see her smile, just one more time. She thinks they are her friends because they are sitting around her. But she believes in everything. She believes in the three words no matter who says them. In fact she is not happy. Now she stands here and tells me that she is doing well without me, she turns around with her fine yellow dress on and walks away. I know it’s not over yet. One day she will be mine again. And that day I will tell her something real, because she deserves the truth. She deserves to know that it's their fault that she cried every day after school for 6 years. She deserves to know that I love her more than my own life. And so will her beautiful blue eyes light up with joy again and her lips would smile at me. Exactly as the time when I had comforted her and she had smiled and looked up at me, and whispered the three words that meant the world to her and I.
I promise you, that time will come again!

...Aflevering – Ensvinklede trekanter Opgave 1 a) Bestem flagstangens højde.
