I choose ENL-105 because writing has always been hard for me since the day I was able to write. If I could describe my writing abilities in one word after this six week program it would be solid because with all the papers and clear instruction and guiding I have learned a lot about my writing style and writing in general. My learning disability has made a dramatic change from high school, I have been able to talk to my teacher for feedback on my papers and although my learning disabilities makes it hard for me to organize my thoughts I have adapted new writing habits to remember me what my thoughts are for after class . After practicing some of my writing skills in High School, I know what strategies are easier and helpful for me so I would be able to tell the teacher what I need help with in the writing assignment. I still write my papers on lined paper first and then I type it because it's easier for me to think about how to say what I want to say. ENL 105 will be better for me because it will polish my new strategies and strengthen my skills I have learned to write my college papers. I feel that if I go into ENL 105 it will be easier for me to transition into Salem State’s classes because I will still need help with my reading and writing skills even after this program has allowed me to experience a glimpse of college. When I was in high school I had many resources to help me with writing and reading. I believe that being in ENL 105 is going to be the right paced for my way of learning and it will allow me to fully understand college writing.
