I reflect on the workings from the EDC131 Language and Literacy for teachers, I am reminded that we are a multiliterate society and are surrounded by many forms of literacy. Being an educator in the 21st century means more than reading and writing. It also involves being an active and involved citizen and setting our students up with the skills they need to be involved in the world (Brenden Burnell, 2012) such as being digitally literate.
