Btec Level 2 Medium Merit

...broadly based higher education qualification in a technology discipline offered by an Institute of Technology or a HETAC-designated institution in Ireland. The certificate generally exempts a student from the first year of a four-year university Bachelor's degree or the first two years of an ab initio National Diploma in Ireland. The certificates are often in business, engineering and science, with most entrants being school leavers and presenting a Leaving Certificate or similar educational achievement. Many students continue education and transfer to a National Diploma course or a Bachelor's degree. The first National Certificates in Ireland were awarded in 1972 at five Regional Technical Colleges. Since June 2006 and the implementation of the National Framework of Qualifications, the National Certificate has been replaced by the Higher Certificate in a number of similar disciplines. United Kingdom[edit] In the United Kingdom, outside of Scotland, the National Certificate is a standard vocational further education qualification. It is usually rated at Level 3 on the National Qualifications Framework and is equivalent to A-level, BTEC National Diploma or NVQ Level 3 standard. Scotland[edit] National Certificate courses in Scotland are a one-year course offered by Technical Colleges. They are typically used to progress on to a Higher National Certificate or similar degree course, although a National Certificate is still a recognised qualification on its own. [1] Africa[edit] ...

The government create the education plan. This includes vocational qualifications, a levels, apprenticeships, NVQ’s and training courses. ASDA and the NHS The government’s choices on education and training has a very big impact on the ways that ASDA and the NHS operate and the level of skills in their businesses. This is to ensure that employees are being trained for new employment in areas that will help the economy. This political factor dictates the type of qualifications that are studied and which qualifications money is invested in. It also supports different types of training such as literacy and numeracy skills that can help train employees that are already working within ASDA and NHS. An important training course that the government regularly provide for free is first aid and health and safety. This impacts ASDA and NHS as this is a key skill for many employees to be educated on when working in modern careers and roles. This will impact on both government and employees within ASDA’s and NHS’s stakeholders. ...differences between them. A Training Package is a national standard (industry guideline) for VET training and qualifications that is used to develop, measure, assess and recognise the skills sets and knowledge that a person needs to perform in their job function/industry. Accredited training or qualifications are developed by RTO’s/Organisations where there are currently no provisions in a Training Package or where there is a (local) skills / industry gap or an apprenticeship that is not covered by a Training Package. Accredited courses must be developed inline with the current national standards (ATQF) and not conflict with any existing Training Package/guidelines. A proposed accredited course must be submitted for rigorous assessment to the relevant state regulator. Once a course has been accredited by a state regulator, the accreditation last for a period of up to 3yrs in the state that it was accredited. If an RTO/Organisation wishes to deliver this course/training nationally, it must then be submitted to each state and territory training authority where it will be delivered for accreditation. In summary a Training Package is a nationally recognised qualification based on and developed by 1 of the 11 industry skills councils of Australia. It is based on unique industry requirements and government regulation/legislation. This to ensure training and qualification are of the highest standard. Accredited courses or training are developed to meet training needs for a particular...
