I did notice that very little home was given in Mrs. Scace’s class that did not have class time to work on the assignment. After her instruction and activities the students were give a worksheet to complete on an independent basis. This is when she completed her small groups and those students would know they would have homework that day. During small group, she made sure each student understand the assignment before exiting the classroom. The home was on an individual basis, meaning each student did not have the exact same worksheet. This is where she scaffold her lesson more to meet the needs of her students. The higher-level students were given problems that required a high order of thinking while some were given less problems to solve.
