...Exchange 2010 Server Roles Author’s Note This research is being submitted on August 11th 2013, for N234/CET2810C Section 01 Microsoft Exchange Server course. Exchange 2010 Server Roles When dealing with Exchange Server there are roles to be configured. Some roles are configured differently do if your implementing it in a small or large business setting. You have two different server roles one being the mailbox server role and the other being the client access server role. Each role is in charge of different task the mailbox server role is in charge of Clients access protocols, transport service, mailbox database, unified messaging and handles all activities for any active mailbox on the server (TechNet, 2013). With the client access role it handles authentication, redirection, proxy services (HTTP, POP, IMAP, and SMTP), and stores all diagnostic logs (TechNet, 2013). Each of these roles and services serves a unique purpose in setting up your exchange environment. The mailbox server role is the most common role used in Exchange Server and some could say that it is the core of an exchange organization when the mailbox server role is installed on to a server they become what is called a mailbox server. Mailbox servers interact directly with active directory, client access servers and Microsoft outlook clients. When setting up a mailbox server it is smart to consider a few things like requirements. First we have mailbox capacity the average mailbox receives 37mbs of mail...

...Reflecting on Exchange Server 2010 Author Note This assignment is being submitted on September 18, 2013, for N234/CET2810C Section 01 Microsoft Exchange Server course. Reflecting on Exchange Server 2010 All’s I can say is “Wow!” boy am I glad that’s over. This class has probably been the most difficult class that I have taken throughout my whole associate’s degree course. But in my defense I was taken six classes all together this term and trust me when I say this “never again”. Trying to juggle Cisco and Exchange at the same time was difficult by itself. The most important things that I have learned during my experience in this Exchange course have been, migration techniques for updating older versions of Exchange to newer versions, I also learned about the different roles associated with Exchange like the Edge Transport role which protects the users against things such as spam and viruses. The Hub Transport role which handles the flow of messaging from one place to another. I also learned about mail transfer protocols such as SMTP which is the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol and its used for sending messages over the internet from server to server, but when you have mail coming in from the outside and from all over the place its best to use SMPT over TLS also called SSL, SSL is used for protecting your emails with encryption one way is by using the key system. I also learned about RPC encryption which is known for protecting outlook clients from malicious attacks...

...Maintaining Exchange 2010 Connectivity Author Note This research is being submitted on August 29, 2013, for N234/CET2810C Section 01 Microsoft Exchange Server course. Maintaining Exchange 2010 Connectivity There are a lot of things that could prevent you from being able to access the network or the internet all together. These problems mostly revolve around configuration issues and the other portion is due to hardware malfunction. When trying to identify wired or wireless connection problems you will need to begin with the most common issues first. A lot of the times it’s something as simple as an employee coming to you and cant access the wireless network I’ve gotten this issue brought to my attention a million times and I’ve come to find out that a lot of laptop manufactures put a switch on somewhere on the machine itself either it’s a combination of the function key with an F# key and the actual switch is located on the sides of the machine somewhere that will enable or disable the wireless network adaptor. Trust me if you didn’t know about these disable switches you will be in for a huge headache. Also if you get another user that can’t access the wireless network and you checked the switches and everything is fine and you can see the wireless network on your connections list but still can’t access it. The problem might be associated with a WPA, WEP, or WPA2 security key or phrase issue (Microsoft, 2011). When you're trying to troubleshoot something as complex...

...9-713-512 REV: MARCH 5, 2014 JOHN R. WELLS GALEN DANSKIN Hennes & Mauritz, 2012 In 2012, Hennes & Mauritz (H&M) was the second-largest specialty apparel retailer in the world. Sales for fiscal 2012 were $18.1 billion, up 11% from the previous year, and operating profits were $3.3 billion, up 8.3%. H&M operated 2,776 stores, 93% of them outside its home base of Sweden. Over the previous decade, revenues had grown 15% per year and operating profits, 18%. Although Gap, Inc. (Gap) began the millennium as the clear global leader in the apparel retail market with sales more than four times larger than those of H&M, H&M had grown quickly and passed Gap in 2009. However, Spain’s Inditex, with its fast-fashion chain, Zara, had done even better. It passed H&M in sales in 2005 and, by 2011, had also become more profitable. H&M had also lagged behind Inditex in supply pipeline speed, brand diversification, online retail presence, and expansion into China. Meanwhile, the world’s leading hypermarket chains, including Wal-Mart and Tesco, were making significant headway in apparel. In 2012, CEO Karl-Johan Persson, grandson of the company’s founder Erling Persson, promised increased expansion into underdeveloped markets, a stronger push to online retailing, and the launch of a major new retail brand. He noted, “We are looking forward to an exciting 2013 full of new opportunities. We have great respect for the macroeconomic climate and how it may affect consumption in many...
