The writing process part 1

1. A) A trip to the ocean can be a relaxing escape from the everyday pressures of life.
b) You should always be careful to avoid over exposure to the sun while at the beach.

2. Spelling, capitalization, grammar, punctuation 3. a) A cliché is something that is used, or overused, by people to make a point or add emphasis to something they are saying. b) A wise man once told me that all that glitters is not gold.

4. Prewriting is a very important stage of the writing process because it helps give the writer ideas about what they want to write. One type of prewriting is free writing. Free writing is when the writer spills all of their ideas about the topic onto a piece of paper without worrying about sentence structure or grammar. The goal is to find that one good idea by setting their mind free to be creative. Researching is another type of prewriting that goes beyond the writers own ideas by looking to outside searches for ideas for their writing.

5. My favorite kind of sandwich is a turkey club! To begin making this sandwich you will need to toast two slices of bread on both sides and lay them on a plate. Next stack slices of provolone cheese, turkey, tomato, lettuce, and bacon on to each slice of bread and put the two halves together. Then, put the sandwich in the microwave for approximately 10 seconds until the cheese has melted. Then serve with ranch dressing on the side, Delicious!

6. College isn’t for everyone. So many kids are made to believe that they have to attend college after high school in order to be anything near successful. So many parents just simply assume that their child will go to college. College isn’t for everyone, because if it were, over 50% of Americans who attend college wouldn’t be drop outs. However I do believe that some people who are motivated to do a certain profession will definitely need a degree. But I also believe that there are more plenty more jobs in the world where it makes sense to skip college and immediately begin a career. Statistics show that people who have earned a bachelor’s degree will only earn 1.66 more than someone who only has a high school education. I believe anybody can be successful if they put their mind to it with, or without a college degree.
