1. In my opinion it seems that focusing primarily on children in this campaign might be more difficult than it would be to also pay attention to the parents and other major influencers. Although the campaign may reach its target market, the children, they may not fully understand what it is saying or pay any attention to it. Although this campaign may inspire the children to get up and become more active, there is also a chance that the desire to get up and be more active may quickly pass when they have the other alternative of a video game in front of them. I believe this campaign needs to focus on parents, teachers and other potential influencers to possibly put limits on the children’s activities and to make them get up and be active instead of letting it be an idea that quickly passes. Parents, teachers and other influential people have a huge part in children’s lives. For the most part, they pick what the children eat, where they go, when they go places and what they are allowed and not allowed to do. Therefore, more attention and involvement should be given to the parents and other influential people in children’s lives. These influential people can teach the children to live a healthier lifestyle instead of relying on a campaign to convey the message to children. They need parents and other adults to be the mediators who take the message from the campaign and make sure the children follow through and have the means to follow through; for example healthy foods to eat and the resources to go outside and play or be active. In my opinion the appropriate balance between these groups depends on the time of the day and when the children are with them. For example, an appropriate balance between teachers and parents would be the time the children spend in school versus the time the children spend at home.
