I will be outlining the tasks and subtasks that will need to be done to organize and implement Pam's retirement party and the amount of time it will take to accomplish these tasks for my team and I.

There are five important tasks that will need to be completed:

1. Determine the date and location of the party

1.1 Call proper department to reserve one of the conference rooms for the party

Time needed: 2 hours

1.2 Contact coworkers and boss to make sure time and date works for all

Time needed: 1 day

2. Advertise party so coworkers and bosses are present.

2.1 Contact boss and inform him of the party.

Time needed: 1 hour

2.2 Send out mass work email to notify all coworkers of date, time, and location of the party.

Time needed: 2 hours

3. Plan agenda for the party

3.1 Contact Pam's coworkers to see if anyone would be willing to speak during the party

Time needed: 3 days

3.2 Put together a slideshow together including all of Pam's achievements.

4. Decide on food and refreshments for the party.

4.1 Order and have made a cake that says "Happy Retirement Pam"

Time needed: 3 days

4.2 Schedule catering for the date and time of the party to provide food and drinks.

Time needed: 2 days

5. Set up the day of the party

5.1 Decorate conference room with retirement and congratulations decorations.

Time needed: 1 hour

5.2 Pick up cake on morning of the party.

Time needed: 1 hour

While working with a team can be very beneficial to work in a team at times conflicts can arise. You can solve and avoid these conflicts by doing two very important things. One way to help avoid or settle conflict is great communication. Make sure every person on the team is communicating with everyone else. Second is making sure everyone's voice is heard. ...Retirement Party for Steve Weeks prior to making the surprise retirement party known to fellow employees in the company, I have been observing their strengths and weaknesses and scheduled a casual business meeting with Steve, in which I have told him I have not decided on a place for the meeting yet, and urged him to have his family attend.
