I really enjoyed reading your post as it was very well detailed and organized. I learned a lot from your post as you included many countries to show the difference in rates. I was just as surprised as you to learn that Guyana has the highest suicide rate in the world. I believe the major contribution to suicide is financial instability as this causes stress and can lead to depression. As you mentioned Guyana is in extreme poverty this causes people to abuse alcohol consumption as a way to cope but can then lead them to want more causing them to consume deadly substances such as pesticides and they have easy access to
