As he walks out from the front door to his car on the driveway… Treatment Concept I have chosen “Hitman” as the title of this short film. The aim is to create a 2 to 3 minute story in the genre of mystery. Within this mystery genre, a middle age man will be introduced without any dialogue but with a voiceover narration, as he gets ready for work. As we explore the life about this man over the narrative track, the key conventions will lead the audience into a false sense of knowledge. The main concept of this film is to build up to the climax where the...

...Semiotic Deconstruction of ‘’The HITMAN’’ (spring 2006) Advert In the advert of ‘’The HITMAN: Blood Money” uses the colour red several time in the advert. The title of the game ‘Blood Money’ is in red and so is part of the robe and the shoes that the woman is wearing. This colour helps link in with the theme of passion, love and blood and its to remind the audience that the video game is to do with shooting, killing, fighting. We know that it is a video game because in the at the bottom on the left there is logos of video game e.g. Play station,Xbox and Xbox live. In contrast, the background uses the colour gold and black. The gold sheets suggests luxury, wealth, quality because it not like any other ordinary sheets that you will see on the bed. The black suggest death, mystery and the unknown because the woman I lying there with a bullet in the middle of her head and we don’t know why and how. In the advert of “The HITMAN” the woman is lying on the bed in a sexualised position wearing a black floral silk robe with red high heel with black nail polish which suggest that she is a lady of the night. The woman has several quality gold bracelet on the wrist which suggest that it is cheaper and in expensive and it probably not real gold. The black floral silk robe suggest that pattern is exotic and silk is expensive, the pattern on the rode can show that it is from an Asian culture because Asian culture clothes has floral on it, it can also mean mystery and pleasure because...

...Confessions of an Economic Hit Man By John Perkins Preface Economic hit men (EHMs) are highly paid professionals who cheat countries around the globe out of trillions of dollars. They funnel money from the World Bank, U.S. Agency for International Development, and other foreign “aid” organizations into the coffers of huge corporations and the pockets of a few wealthy families who control the planet's natural resources. Their tools include fraudulent financial reports, rigged elections, payoffs, extortion, sex, and murder. They play a game as old as empire, but one that has taken on new and terrifying dimensions during this time of globalization. I should know; I was an EHM. I wrote that in 1982, as the beginning of a book with the working title Conscience of an Economic Hit Man. The book was dedicated to the presidents of two countries, men who had been my clients, whom I respected and thought of as kindred spirits—Jaime Roldós, president of Ecuador, and Omar Torrijos, president of Panama. Both had just died in fiery crashes. Their deaths were not accidental. They were assassinated because they opposed that fraternity of corporate, government, and banking heads whose goal is global empire. We EHMs failed to bring Roldós and Torrijos around, and the other type of hit men, the CIA-sanctioned jackals who were always right behind us, stepped in. I was persuaded to stop writing that book. I started it four more times during the next twenty years. On each occasion, my decision to...

...Reflection for Confessions of an Economic Hitman This story addresses a very important matter between the United States and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The United States uses many tactics to get what they want and to make things happen. Also, the United States keeps many of its operations classified so people don’t know what is going on. The main reason behind the matter between both countries is because Saudi Arabia announced an embargo. This is where the United States decided to send a man from one of their organizations to make a deal with the Saudi’s, his name was John Perkins. Perkins, an economic hitman, was brought in for a particular job. His job was to develop forecasts that predict what might happen in Saudi Arabia if vast amounts of money were invested in its infrastructure, and to map out scenarios for spending the money. Everything he did was classified and top secret because no one can know about his job; not even his wife! This was a highly secret operation. Perkins is considered a very reliable narrator, mainly because he actually lived through and experienced all of it. Also, he personally witnessed all events, even stating the events in his story. This is a true story that stayed classified from everyone except the organization, from knowing what Saudi Arabia is doing! Perkin’s description of the events is valid for a few reasons: there are many witnesses that can back him up and the proof located inside the documents and reports written and given. I also...

...down to it. For those of you who don’t know, the movie is based out of a Danish game from the early 2000s, called ‘Hitman‘. The game’s storyline revolves around Agent 47, a cloned super-assassin for hire who has superhuman abilities and a flawless record of kills. It was a pretty nifty game, and adapting it into the big screen was inevitable. All things said, the movie was a decent attempt at bringing the Hitman mythos to life – It had to expand the plot from the video game source, include some drama, some tension, and generally apply liberal assault on logic and sensibilities to shoehorn action sequences wherever possible. When it comes to leave-your-brain-behind type of movies, I’m quite happy for them to shoehorn in action sequences. (Sarah Palin has been preparing for such movies all her life.) Amidst the shoehorned action scenes, we have a few good moments of fun, and a few twists, which, while nonsensical, fit in well with the movie’s overall tone. Overall, the movie could have been done better, but I still rate rate it good enough for a lazy afternoon watch. But that’s enough talk about the 2007 movie, ‘Hitman’, the one starring Timothy Olyphant. It was never a great movie, but compared to the new 2015 reboot, it was downright genius. Timothy Olyphant is still writing thank-you notes to the new movie’s crew. The 2015 reboot is titled “Hitman: Agent 47“. It focuses once again, on the insanely skilled nameless super-duper-assassin who goes by the number ’47’...

...this land is fairest of all? It answered: You, my queen, are fair; it is true. But Snow-White is a thousand times fairer than you. The witch step mother turned green with envy. Her anger began to swell until she could no longer take it. She hired a hitman and said to him, "Take Snow-White out into the dark allies of the city and kill her. For proof of her death, bring me her heart." The hitman obeyed and stalked Snow White into the city. He watched her all day, moving from soup-kitchen to woman’s shelter, laughing like friends with every person she spoke to, offering them everything she had. Moved by her actions, the hitman could not kill her, he went to her instead. He waited for her in the alley way behind the shelter “Your mother intends to have you dead,” he announced. Shocked, Snow White pulled out her phone and pepper spray, fully prepared to launch herself at the unknown man. “What the hell are you talking about? I could call the cops on you, ya know?” The hitman explained himself fully, telling Snow White of how her witch step mother asked for Snow White’s heart to eat, and despised Snow for her beauty. “Do you have anywhere else you can go?” he asked her. Snow White nodded and thanked the man for having mercy on her. The hitman stopped at a butcher shop on the way home and asked for a fresh pig’s heart. When he returned to the step mother’s mansion, he gave the step mother, who boiled it and ate it. In the morning, she would report the child missing, and soon Snow White...

...“You will not leave here alive,” said the Irish-accented, medium-pitched voice. “Your partner’s brains are on the floor.” Holding up the fallen cop’s badge that was dripping with fresh blood, the gunman gave a black-toothed grin. From the shadows of the warehouse, the dead officer’s partner, Louis Wagner, saw the hitman: a professional cop killer, who would remove cops too honest for their own good. One of these, currently unarmed and wounded, Wagner yelled, “You’re looking at life for killing a cop. Give up and make a deal.” Then, pleading, called, “You may walk in twenty years, if you give up your employer.” “As if that’s happening!” said the gunman. “You’re all alone here: no gun, no backup, no radio, and the only exit is behind me,” said...

...DeWitt illustrates the importance of making morally sound decisions by demonstrating that Eli suffers both physically and mentally in the aftermath of one of his experiences as a hitman. Eli’s choice to be a hitman for the Commodore leads to him getting a leg injury and having nightmares about his old horse’s death; “[Charlie] has no complaints with Nimble, who was a good or better horse than his previous, unnamed, but then he had first pick of the two while I lay in bed recovering from a leg wound I received on the job.” (DeWitt 6). Eli suffered as a direct result of an immoral decision. He made the choice to work as a hitman, and because of this decision, he both severely hurt his leg and confined himself to bedrest for a while, and lost...

...Born in Ohio in 1934, Charles Manson is notoriously connected to the brutal slayings of actress Sharon Tate and other Hollywood residents, but he was never actually found guilty of committing the murders himself. However, the famous Tate-La Bianca killings have immortalized him as a living embodiment of evil. Images of his staring "mad eyes" are still used today to illustrate countless serial-murder news stories. The Manson Family—including Charles Manson and his young, loyal dropout disciples of murder—is thought to have carried out some 35 killings. Most were never tried, either for lack of evidence or because the perpetrators were already sentenced to life for the Tate/La Bianca killings. In 2012, Manson was denied parole for the 12th time. Charles Manson I believe was not crazy but very clever individual. Manson had a group of people he referred to as his “family” he was a very manipulative man to the people around him. His followers numbering round the one-hundreds, also including a small portion of impressionable young girls. He had them all to believe without question that he was Jesus and his prophecies of a race war. Manson was not only influenced by drugs such as LSD but by art works and music of the time such as The Beatles song “Helter Skelter” from their white album. The first murders took place on August 9, 1969, at Roman Polanski’s Beverley Hills home at 10050 Cielo Drive. Manson chose his four most best comrades- Charles “Tex” Watson, Susan Atkins, Patricia...

The file benchmarkresults.txt is written to the gamefolder when the test is completed. It contains the benchmark results and the used display and graphics settings. To get an accurate test of the performance, the game will always go to exclusive fullscreen mode and disable VSync. There are three ways to start a benchmark test: 1) From the main menu: Start the game and proceed to the main menu. Select the Options menu. When you are done tweaking your Display and Graphics settings, select START BENCHMARK at the bottom of the options menu. Once the benchmark is completed you will be prompted with the results and be returned to the main menu. 2) From the Options dialog: When you start the game you are prompted with the launcher menu. ...Bystander Stand-Alone Paragraph Final Draft Names have been changed for “security” reasons Out of the four main characters in Bystander, by James Peller, I relate to Mary the most. One of the main reasons I relate to her is because she “knows” stuff. On page 179, Mary said, “I knew what they were planning to do that day at the cemetery…”. I feel like people don’t really notice me during whatever is happening, then later come and tell me and I continuously have to say “I know, I was there.” An example of this happening is when Leila whore Anthony’s sweatshirt this week. I knew before it happened from hearing people talk about it and eventually seeing it myself. I didn’t want to be the one to break it to Brianna. Brianna was crying and telling...

...I grew up with two sisters. They played with dolls and I played with action hero figures. This is my perception of girls and boys. I never knew what gay meant. In definition, I knew it meant happy or lighthearted and carefree, but I did not understand when a man insults another man by calling him gay. I did not even know what it meant for someone to be gay. The term gay was practically foreign to me. Up until I was eight years old when my grandfather introduced me to World Wrestling Federation (WWF) on television. Bret “The Hitman” Hart was our favorite wrestler. Even at such a young age, I knew I wanted to grow up to be strong and manly like The Hitman. While most of the wrestlers depicted the same qualities, there was one wrestler in particular that stood up from the rest. Gold Dust has a completely...
