Way back when the gods were creating the vale there was a problem in the way magic was disturbing the life on earth. Unwanted magical creatures were summoned. These creatures created much destruction. Killing the work of nature.. destroying the world itself. What they didn’t know is that its was Kaxos’s doing that created these creatures.
The others gods weren't as happy with these creatures showing Kaxos how destructive they were. Kaxos disagreed and wanted to keep them for his own. After defeating Kaxos in battle they sent his creatures, along with him, to the underworld. This allowed Kaxos to hold his beloved “pets” happily without destroying the work of the other gods.
Kaxos then began creating more reliable and powerful creatures. The gods banished them away into the void. With this, the gods created a barrier between the creatures and the void, making the creature's magic unattainable against the barrier, for the barrier was made too strong. for them.
Unknowingly and out of the gods control, once every twelve years on October 31st. The moon is seen to be darker than the night sky and a dark blood red. There are no stars seen in sight. On this day, The barrier that the gods made is at its thinnest, making it easy for the creatures to escape the void and into the vale.
