Being a part of the Executive Internship program at Lecanto High School has well exceeded my expectations. Initially, I did not think that my involvement within the program would provide any additional academic or moral benefit. However, my assumptions were refuted on a daily basis. Several key figures and components derived to my success throughout the semester, including my mentor, Mrs. Crisp, the office staff, and the various problems and challenges that I faced while working in the program. Together, these factors have improved my overall experience as an intern, and have provided me with the critical skills and knowledge to become a well-rounded adult. My mentor, Mrs. Crisp, portrays the ideal character and attitude to handle the fast-paced and demanding environment of the Attendance Office. Mrs. Crisp is a hard working individual, who is constantly putting others before herself to achieve peace and unity. It is truly unfortunate that many students will not get to know Mrs. Crisp in the manner of which I was able, as her optimism and humor always put a smile on my face. I will be forever grateful for having Mrs. Crisp as a mentor.

I have witnessed both positive and negative student encounters with the administration team, where I was able to go beyond the normal student population to discover some of the back-end operations of Lecanto High School. Throughout the course of the semester, I was fortunate to have learned something new everyday in the Attendance Office. For assignments, I would deliver student passes, file student notes, and organize student folders and paperwork. However, my internship surpassed the stereotypical “busy work”
