My, oh my, what a wonderful day! First let me explain, it is Friday the thirteenth, and it is a full moon as well. It doesn’t get much rarer than that to start, so on this special day I commemorated it with a Full moon Friday the thirteenth tattoo; yes I am tatted, and pierced. I also lived in the Southern California area, and so, far as the weather, it was a perfect eighty two degrees with forty four percent humidity, and a slight breeze; sans clouds. A bit about myself, I am fifty one as of just two weeks prior to this writing, and in my second term of college. I have been forced into a career change due to a back injury. So, at this time I am going for a BS in Legal Studies, and working just part time to help pay the bills. Because of being back in school, most of my days were spent doing class work and doing cleaning and chores around the house; to keep me up and moving too. An average day for me, would always start off by feeding my dogs, and then feeding my face too. After that I will check my class white board that I have up, to see what I have on schedule for the day. I have recently realized a talent and passion for writing; so every day I would do a bit of writing just to stay sharp. So daily I could be found sitting in my writing studio hammering down on the keyboard of my computer. Through my fingers my thoughts flooded the white screen with black. I can best describe myself as a free spirited soul in search of knowledge and enlightenment. On the other hand I have been described as nutty, crazy, the professor, intellectual, philosophical, but most of all a caring heart, and soul. None of which I get, because I can barely get my pants on one leg at a time and I have a hard time remember five minutes ago. Due to all of who I am, I feel that the modern era is wrought with evil and corruption. I feel that humanity has taken a nose dive into an abyss of illusions and deceit by the power that be. I have joined the revolution to regain the collective consciousness of humanity. This is something I believe has been stolen from most people, and only now on a legitimate level are people starting to wake up to what has been going on. I feel that the resent increase of humanities in a through art, music, and literature is highly responsible for the shift of mind and perspective of who we are as people. To know what it means to be a human being, and the sovereign rights given to us by our creator. My dream, or goal for the future is; for all of the people of the world to be free from tyranny, and slavery; to live in peace, and harmony. This is my mission for the next chapter of my life starting now, and going until my mission is accomplished, or death do us part; whichever comes first. How long this chapter will take to be written is an unknown time frame. I am setting off into dangerous waters, and to fight foes with egos that are larger than life itself. I am try to save the world so that there “is” someone reading this one hundred years in the future. I also hope that my mission has been successful, and everyone on earth is living a free, and unfettered life. Morality is based directly off of one’s character, and the only way to truly test ones character is how one conducts themselves behind closed doors. Simply put, it is easy for people to act nicely or do what is right when other people are watching us, but what about when there is no one around to stop us from doing what is not so right, or flat out wrong; even criminal? What about morality then? This is when making decisions are all on the individual, and that person should be held fully accountable for any wrong doings. Now this is where the real dilemma comes in. How do others know what has been done? How do we find out how did what if no one is there to see it? This is why it matters so much to have good moral character. Yet how does society confirm that we are all morally the same? Moral values are all individually derived through so many different dynamics. Logic would seem to be the best moral compass, but then not all people have the same logic either. So what, and how does society determine what is moral, and how to make decisions from that basis? What about when society as a whole or large number therein decides to make bad decisions? Where do we go from there? How do we save ourselves from ourselves? Happiness can best be described on two different levels, or phases. (Janaro, R. & Altshuler, T. 2012) One is, to truly be happy one must look inward first; to know yourself is always the start. To understand that there are parts of ourselves that we do not like is always the hardest part, but to grab hold of those parts of oneself, and accept it for what it is; part of you. Then and only then can one truly begin to love themselves. It is from this centered point in your soul that we blossom outward to touch our loved ones, and the world. The other true from of happiness is through our connectivity with loved ones. Be it a pet, friend, or family member; we all like to be in the company of others. Even my one year old puppy, Thor, a pit-bull mix rescue is lying next to me as he always does; sometimes with his head on my foot. As human the one thing we all crave is that connection to others; it is a universal transcending part of all of us. We like to gaze into each other’s eyes and see the real people through the windows of our souls. All though never being a reader of poetry the Iliad of Homer has become something of an intriguing work for me. As an aspiring writer it has not only sentence structure that would seem to be both sovereign, and avant-garde. As a writer I look to the great authors of our past for guidance, and inspiration, and Homer is by far one of the best there has ever been. (Janaro, R. & Altshuler, T. 2012) The Iliad itself was written between eight hundred and fifty to twelve hundred years before Common Era, and contains fifteen thousand six hundred and ninety three lines; no periods; only commas, and semicolons were used. This to me is an amazing work, and truly needs to be remembered until the end of time. Art and architecture will always go hand in hand. Art is the imagination of the artist coming to fruition through the use of many different mediums. One of which is sculpture, and some sculpture are on a grand scale. Whether we like them or not buildings are sculpture on a grand scale. For me the house known as Fallingwater, by Frank Lloyd Wright was and still is the single most impressive work of art ever done. The way the house sits in among the trees, and how the stream and waterfall are part of the house itself is masterful. It becomes part of the landscape without being a standout, or obnoxious. Even the furniture was designed by Frank; he left no detail untouched, nor a stone unturned. Well done, Mr. Wright, your work is timeless, and should be preserved for future generations to see the splendorous beauty. One thing that seems to transcend borders, boundaries, gender, and colors is music. Music moves the soul. There is no real group, or genre that is a standout or a favorite for me; I love all music. There is always a song for my mood, and mindset, but for future generations the one message through song that will always be one to carry on forever are songs of peace, love, and unity. Songs that bring a message of collective consciousness as one. Songs such as: One Day- Matisyahu, U2-One, and as a deeply spiritual person, I have, and always will strive for peace and love humanity wide. Any and all songs that bring this message regardless of the genre is worthy for being on anyone’s playlist; in what era they might live in. The movie “The Matrix” is probably the single most moving movie for me to give to future generations to come. The reason for this is simple, it outline the basic corruption of man over man. How we as humans are being enslaved as we speak, and the constant struggle to stay free, or be enslaved even more. Albeit that this is just a movie, but just like the movie “Eyes wide shut” it hit real close to the truth. There should never be human ownership, or enslavement. So this movie clearly sets a tone and a mindset of freedom, or enslavement; it is your choice. Take the blue pill and wake up believing you live in a dream world of enslavement. Where the government keeps us feed, and entertained to keep us distracted from the reality of our enslavement. Or, we can take the red pill, and see the world for what it real is; we get to see how deep the rabbit hole goes. When it comes to pop culture, and what I use the most is my iPhone. It is by my side at all times. Now let me make this clear. I do not love my iPhone, nor want to have it by my side at all time. It has become part of my life as a father, husband and a son. Have the ability for any of my family to get ahold of me at any time is the single most important reason for this. On a personal level I do like having my music on my iPhone too. I can bebop around the house, or go for a walk, and have my music with me. Music is very important to me, so that is at the very top of my list of likes about my iPhone. I also like being able to take pictures, and videos with it as well, memories. This is the reason for me pick the iPhone; for today it is the personal assistant in our pockets. For right now there is not much that cannot be done on an iPhone, and with the ever increasing number of apps to go with it; the capabilities are never ending. For these reasons the iPhone should be held as a technologically historical piece of pop culture. Something that can be viewed as state of the art for that very moment. This is a time in history that is filled with chaos, and corruption. A time when people are being enslaved, and they do not even see their chains that bind them. This is a time when more people are offended by the truth than they are by deceit. A time when people love things more that they love people. This is also a time when the world is waking up from history too. Because some people are aware, and awake; they do see the world for what it is now. There are people trying to change the world for everyone; now, and the future. Hopefully by the time of this reading you in the future are now living in a world of true freedom, happiness, and peace; living as one.
