In the story The Adventure of Huckle Berry Finn the theme is Huck fighting societys values and his own values. It is shown many ways in the story. One way it is shown in the story is when he is adopted by the widow who represents society. She teaches him how to behave dress and take care of himself in the way she feels is right. Her values are symbolized as societies values. She had heard of someones slave escaping and that a white man had helped him and as she was speaking out loud about it huck had over heard her say that the person that helped should be ashamed and punished for his crime.
