I agree with you Ms. Sandra. As you mentioned, “It is important to employ strategies that enhance professional communication within inter-professional team setting,” (Iyegbu, 2015). If the information conveyed to the patients and family by the health care team is not understood, it can lead to errors. These errors can lead to injury to the health or even death. So it is vital that the content be accurate, clear and non-biased (APA 2010). Nurses and other members of the health care team work usually under stress. So it is easy to make mistakes. When people get sick and hospitalized, their anxiety level increases. This adds to the chances of misunderstanding the information provided to them. Moreover, it will talk about how to plan and control intra- and inter-organizational communications that must occur to implement the job design changes. Lastly, how management can ensure individual job satisfaction for this position. The process of job redesign begins with conducting a system analysis. A system analysis provides an understanding of how the system works and the different elements in the system interact. In the healthcare system, this analysis helps to improve the interface between different components or personnel of that system in order to enhance the functioning of each individual component within the total organization. There are ten steps in considering the process of a job redesign (Henrisken, Battles, Marks, 2008). The first step is to decide which to decide which system would be the subject of the redesign as this will provide focus for the rest of the steps. The second step is to create a preliminary work system map which illustrates the inputs and outputs of the system. The preliminary work system map will determine who should be represented on the team that will perform the analysis. The...

...individuals behave alone, as well as how individuals behave in groups. The purpose of organizational behavior is to gain a greater understanding of those factors that influence individual and group dynamics in an organizational setting so that individuals and the groups and organizations to which they belong may become more efficient and effective. The field also includes the analysis of organizational factors that may have an influence upon individual and group behavior. Much of organizational behavior research is ultimately aimed at providing human resource management professionals with the information and tools they need to select, train, and retain employees in a fashion that yields maximum benefit for the individual employee as well as for the organization. Organizational behavior is a relatively new, interdisciplinary field of study. Although it draws most heavily from the psychological and sociological sciences, it also looks to other scientific fields of study for insights. Communication

...Communication is a key skill for any health care professional, but for nurses, we ‘are in an occupation that has interpersonal communication at its core. Virtually all nursing work revolves around the need for nurses to be effective communicators, whether relating to colleagues or with service users. (Morrall 2001). This essay seeks to discuss an evidence based experience learnt in clinical practice. For the purpose of this essay the author has chosen communication skills, since it is the basis for which verbal, non verbal and written ideas are conferred among the nursing staff. Some key policies and evidence taken from (research evidence or from this essay) will be identified and discussed. It also seeks to conclude with a general analysis from the overall main findings of this essay. The National Midwifery Council (NMC) (2008) state that nurses must take part in appropriate learning and practice activities that maintain and develop their competence and performance. As a nurse in training, I had been given the opportunity to complete a four weeks placement in a rehabilitation unit. The services provided included the admission of patients requiring rehabilitation therapy and specialist nursing attention. I was elected by my mentor to sit in their weekly review meeting consisting of the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) in order to facilitate my learning objectives. As a student my role was to observe how the MDT addressed, planned and implemented patient care. This was necessary...

Situational Analysis of the Role of the Staff Nurse in the Context of

...SITUATIONAL ANALYSIS OF THE ROLE OF THE STAFF NURSE IN THE CONTEXT OF INTER-PROESSIONAL WORKING. The aim of this assignment is to discuss the role of the nurse in the context of the inter-professional team. Discharge planning will be discussed and analysed incorporating relevant knowledge such as teamwork and role enhancement. Relevant social, economic and health policies such as clinical governance will be discussed. Perspectives of each of the principle professional groups including myself as a third year student nurse, will be incorporated and collaborative team working addressed. The Department of health (2002) describes discharge planning as a pathway used to decide patient needs, for a smooth move from one level of care to another (Hunt 1996) and is the process through which patient’s needs are identified and plans are written, facilitating continuity of health care (Jackson 1994). According to the department of health (2000) discharge planning illustrates well, the role of the nurse within the inter-professional team the balance between goals set, care delivered and evaluation of care from a nurse and team perspective. Nurse involvement is considered integral and, aims to provide effective discharge plans (Department of Health 2000). The Royal College of Nursing (RCN 2002) supports the concept of nurses taking the lead and recommends the development of nurse led protocols in discharge planning. However the NMC (2004) highlights the importance of nurses being able...

The first chapter gives a review of the group assignment and presentation. We took DHL call centre as the development subject, and analyzed the importance of establishing a new call centre based on the theories about the reasons of building call centre. Based on existing literature about call centres, we summered up the advantages of call centres and examine the current status of DHL, thus our analysis gives a theoretical and practical ground of building DHL new call centre (Bruce et al, 2010). Latter analyzed the factors influencing the success of call centres so that we can adapt right strategy and avoid big failure (Chiara et al, 2006). The main concern is to promote service quality in all dimensions and by scientific means.
