Myyers-Briggs Personality Type: As an ISTJ, I prefer to focus on concrete facts, process ideas on my own, use standard methods, and rely on analysis in both business and personal settings. Introverts are often more withdrawn than extraverts, and need time to be alone. It is accurate that I would be deemed an introvert because I enjoy working on my own, rather than working in a group. In the workplace, working with others will come up often, and I will have to learn to enjoy bouncing my ideas off of other people. I will always be an introvert; I will just have to overcome my preferences in order to ensure success in business. His strength is being able to come into agreement with other people. As a leader, this will be helpful for David to communicate what he expects from people and motivate them to do just that. Where David scored lowest was in delegation. His weakness is combining his vision for tasks with maintaining the authority to get them accomplished. As a way to play to his strengths and weaknesses as a leader, David will have to do well enough with communicating what he wants from his coworkers and maintain his authority through this ability. This reflects that he is interested in hearing many points of view just as he is with conflict. It also means that he wants to make sure communication is clear in an organization. As a leader, it will be good for David to want to listen to different perspectives and view all aspects of the business instead of just profit. If he ends up working in a mainstream business, however, he may not be prepared to have to focus on one aspect on the business and have less communication. Hopefully, David can use his multistream approach wherever he ends up in the future. He can use his listening skills and collaborating conflict style as a way to do this.
