Injustice in America Ever since the early 1800’s and up to this day, injustice has been a problem and it has had a major impact on society. There are many examples in history of injustice like segregation, poverty, and many more but us as a society just categorize injustice as just being mean or not fair to someone.

An example of injustice in history is Martin Luther King Jr. Throughout his life, Martin Luther King Jr was introduced to the lifestyle of segregation and judging because of his race and his skin color. He also had to deal with injustice throughout his life from being sent to a segregated school, to being beaten for his skin color. This continued since the early 1800’s, slavery was a major part of American society where African Americans had no rights and were treated without any justice. While even till this day, injustice is everywhere in the world, not just America. And yes, it might not be a big deal too many people but injustice can even be done on a daily basis.

An example of injustice in society today, is starvation and poverty. Statistics show that in 2013, 45.3 million people were in poverty and 49.1 million American’s lived in unstable households, and that is in the United States alone. Now imagine there are people that take for granted what they have even though there are kids who sometimes do not eat for many days due to poverty being a major factor. This example is only one kind of injustice now a days due to America supposedly being a “equal opportunity” country, and there are people starving or living in poverty and there could be something done to stop it.

Another example of injustice is judging people by what they read or by what they see without knowing the person. For example, there are many people who are getting out of prison and have a crime history, but the
