Janelle Evans is heading to court to plead her case in front of a jury on charges of assault and battery, according to Radar Online, Dec. 11, 2015. Janelle is accused of throwing a glass at Jessica Henry who happens to be the girlfriend of Janelle’s ex-fiancé Nathan Griffith. The jury trial will be held sometime next year and Janelle along with her attorney will be notified by mail when the date is determined.
The incident allegedly happened at Janelle’s home when Nathan arrived to gather his things, bringing his new girlfriend along. Janelle told the police officer that when she went outside, Jessica got out of the truck causing Janelle to fear for her life. She said the jar was filled with water, but when she threw the water at Jessica, …show more content…
The broken glass was not in the right place to support Janelle’s story.
The officer wrote, “This would have made the broken glass somewhere farther in the driveway, “I looked and did not observe any redness or any other injury to the arrestee’s back.”
The report also said, “while he (Nathan) was loading up his property into the bed of his truck, he looked up and observed the arrestee [Evans] throw something threw [sic] the – front passenger window at the victim’s [Henry] head. This object was later discovered to be a glass mason jar.”
“The witness [Griffith] stated that the victim [Henry] then began screaming in pain and the arrestee [Evans] ran back into the residence without saying a word.”
“The victim stated that she was sitting in the front passenger seat of the pickup looking at her phone when all of a sudden, the suspect was standing next to her throwing a glass mason jar filled with water at her. The victim stated that the glass jar struck the right side of her head and shattered. The victim stated that she was in shock and the arrestee just ran back inside without saying anything.
