Juan Ginés de Sepúlveda's mission for the native people of the New World was to exploit them and use them for slavery. He described the natives as uneducated and savage, which is true, however they are not animals, they are humans and should be treated as such. Instead of enslaving the natives, Spain should have the natives as an ally. The natives in North America were uneducated and savage aswell. However, over time the natives started to learn and eventually became quite useful to Europeans especially in conflicts such as the Revolutionary War. As Las Casas stated "the native peoples so meek and patient, so easy to subject". If the natives are so easily impressionable, King Charles could make some type of deal with them.
