On April 29, 1999, New Jersey native Julia Witkowski was born. Her family included her parents, brother, and cat Lily. Over time Julia formed a strong sense of appreciation for her home state and its rural lifestyle, mountains, beach, and outdoor activities. She stumbled across Juniata when her family was visiting Penn State and her dad joked that they should visit a small school too. Little did she know that the intimate campus community would prove to be the best fit. While here, Julia’s program of emphasis is microbiology. Though she does not want to go into a health profession, she is interested in becoming involved with lab research and hopes to continue this as a future career.
