Shakespeare uses Katharine’s language in the speech to convey to the audience her sincerity her final speech. From this stance of the argument, the reader sees a change in Katharine from the beginning of the book to the end. Katharine goes from this angry person who acts shrewish, but with Petruchio, she changes into this caring and concerning person for her husband Petruchio. Katharine’s husband, Petruchio, has taught her a lot through their marriage, and she has this belief of how women should treat their husbands after all Petruchio has done for her.
