Katie Roiphe “The Language of Fakebook” contemplates that Facebook is taking over many of teens lives, being time consuming, taking social skills, making people jealous and lying to themselves and everyone else, because of this it makes Facebook overpowering of lifes. The author when looking over posts saw that most people are adding unnecessary words that could easily be taken out to make it more realistic, which said, The author when examining Facebook found things that teens posted that said, “I write more enthusiastically on Facebook than I actually am in real life. Like if I see something remotely funny I might say ‘HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA,’ when really there is no expression on my face” (1).
